If you are talking about the TV ministers and large church pastors, yes many of them get those perks.
But as a minister's daughter, I can assure you that many ministers do not have those luxuries. Yes, many of them get vacations, but not every minister drives a new car or lives in a fancy home. And I will remind you that many ministers do attend schooling of up to 7 years (bachelor's plus 3 years seminary), and most of them make a lot less than most people with Bachelor's degrees.
Ministers are also on call 24/7/365 and not only handle most administrative duties (except the finances which are ethically handled by a non-relative and elected church treasurer), but also handle crises at a drop of a hat. They do a lot more than just smile and give a sermon.

Certainly not anywhere near all of them, but some do. Seems like more in recent years with the mega churches. I have always felt the same way and I am a Christian. I still don't understand why it is a full time job; could be because the lazy parishioners pay the pastor for services they should be doing. In other words, give money instead of doing it themselves.

True. Some have pure hearts, but too many of them living "The American Dream".
Sad. I've seen pastors come out of prayer meetings where families were facing desperate job and financial situations only to hop into an Infiniti Q35 and drive away.
Sadder still: Many people don't even realize that their tithe is paying for that while they struggle.
Trust me. The church WILL face persecution and all of these people will be out of work at that point. They can then join the world of ladder climbers which is what they really wanted to begin with.

Unfortunately, some people get into the ministry for the money, not to spread the word.
My cousin, who is a preacher, (and a selfish one at that,) went into the ministry because he thought he could make good money and live in a house he didn't have to pay for. Luckily, people sometimes see through this, and that's the reason why he was fired from two churches, and now is the associate pastor of another one.

I don't know. I have been a pastor for 12 years. The most I ever made in one month was $1,000.00 - and that was with three funerals and a wedding. I drive a 12-year old car with bald tires and the front bumper is being held on with black duct-tape. I barely make enough money to fill my gas tank and make my hospital and AIDS-hospice visits every week.
Where, exactly, are these "high wages" and "benefits" you speak of???
For me, short of heaven, they are non-existent.

Because pastors are just as greedy and self-serving as anyone else. Did you imagine they were in some way different?
