If a formal accusation of treson was made against the Prime Minister, Would he have acase to answer?

I think NOT, he has no case to answer. Treason is a very heavy accusation coming from whom the parliament? They simply have to vote on this, 2/3 and formal submission of the case, well in this case it should be volume of pages of accusation and other stuff. They will argue on this, two sides have to logically defend each other if this is the case worth fighting for. Once you accused a PM with treason who must possess volume of evidence, witness etc....and I doubt if some will suffice or stand in court.

Treason is a difficult one. It is an act of purposeful betrayal against your Monarch and State with a view to leave them open to endangerment or attack.

Tony Blair has not committed Treason.

However the answer would be yes.

Not unless you can show why you think he has committed treason. You need to show the actus reus (the act of treason) and the mens rea (the intention to committ treason).

Across to the law you are allow to face the people who points the finger at you. So yes he would.
