My dad is the same way. I stop trying to get him an actual gift. Instead I find out if there is something he is wanting at a particular store - Home Depot, Bass Pro Shop, ect. Then I go get a $30 gift certificate for him at that store. If there is nothing, then he gets the cash. I have found that this works great. He gets what he wants or money to put toward what he wants.

I do this for my Mom on Mother's Day as well. I also do it for their birthdays and Christmas. Though Christmas is more money and an actual gift.

You never go wrong with giving money or gift certificates.

Try a gift card for his favorite store. Take him out to eat somewhere. Tell him how much you appreciate him as a father and be specific. Get him a card. Make something for him that you built or made yourself like a craft. Do work around the house for him even if you are an older adult now. Hope that helps.

A kiss a hug a hand shake or just a pat on the back to say you are the greatest. Your smile is worth 100 presents to a father

How about taking him out to a baseball game or something. It's father's day, so i'm sure he would love going out with you there! What father wouldn't love a gift of quality time with his kid?

why don't you just take him out for his b-day some where is hasn't been in a long time or somewhere he has never been. also get him a meaningful card telling him how much his means to you. that should be good enough, cause its the thought that counts.hopes this helps.
