Do you attend morning prayer? or do you wake up earlier to simply pray and worship?
I am looking into staring a morning prayer and worship once a week in my home for the woman close to me, together we can pray for the men and our finances and simply to seek the presence of God before our hectic day begins. I have never opened a family group, but God put this in my heart. Please tell me in what order or basically how morning prayer is done in your church or family group. I have an idea, open with worship, pray for each others needs, then give a scripture in relation to our needs... Advise please!! thanks in advance.

I pray in the car on the way to work.
I pray pretty much at all times...as God is simply a "hello Lord" away at all times.
Isn't God great? We can call on Him at any time of the day or night...and He's always there

Just be open to the Holy Spirit as you pray. So many times as we would have group prayer, one person would start off and then it would just go round and round each person praying and agreeing. We prayed until there was peace and everyone was quiet for a time.
We never were very formal, having a specific scripture or music, just that early morning flow..sometimes someone would cry out a scripture or a gentle melody of song in prayer...
What a wonderful time. I pray that you will be blessed at you agree together in the spirit.

I am not part of a morning prayer group, but is sounds like a lovely idea.
And, I think the direction you are going sounds really good.
Just remember to not only pray, but pray with faith in what you are praying for.
I hear an analogy the other day where 2 farmers were in desperate need of rain. One farmer prayed and still anticipated the drought, the other farmer prayed and went out and prepared his crops to receive the rain!

I think you have it all together already! We usually talk briefly about whats been going on during the week, prayer concerns, praise reports ect. then we hold hands and the floor is open to anyone who wants to pray. A good idea is to write down prayer request so you can continue to pray over them, and so you can write down when God answers them. blessings, I know you will do fine!

Bless you for wanting to start this!
Don't follow a formula: that is a way of making what should be a spiritual equivalent of e-mail to God just a stale formality. Yes, have a basic structure but don't be afraid to explore other structures. Start with praise, remembering and thanking God for the good things He has done for you in the past; this should lead naturally to worship, and is a reminder that God is indeed faithful.
If you have had a bad week, then don't be afraid to take that to God, and ask Him to guide you through it. HE WILL! Maybe not as you'd expect Him to, but He'll deal with you to equip you to be better witnesses for Him, reaching others with the Good News of Salvation through Jesus Christ our God, Lord and Saviour.
May God bless you in this move, my sister in Christ. Amen!

When I was at a larger parish, we would always say the Daily Offices (Morning and Evening Prayer) together. Now, I pretty much say it alone. Here is a great site for doing it yourself:

What you have sounds like it will work...be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit and Him sometimes changing the order of things.
