I got worm medicine from the vet. and i gave him the amount of medicine the doctor told me too. I keep his litter-box clean, i scoop it every time i see him come out of it, but im not always home. its been a while now and he still has the worms. Hes an inside cat, and im worried that i could get his worms. Is that possible?

If the medication isn't working, take your cat back to the vet. When my cat had worms, I gave her two pills from the vet and they worked almost immediately. She hasn't had worms since. You need to get this checked, for your sake and the cat's. There is a possibility that you could become infected as well. Please take him back to the vet now.

You need to get your cat medication!! Take your cat to the vet. Your cat may need a second dose, but if it's not responding you should make sure the vet see's him/her for a proper diagnosis. It may have another problem.

Unless you are eating his poop or not washing you hand after cleaning the litter box , very unlikely. Don't worry, you may have to take him back to the vet or call to get stronger meds.

Sometimes they need more than one dose. I'm surprised your vet did not tell you this. I brought home a stray and it had worms. My vet double dosed him...one dose then another dose a few weeks later to make sure.

take kitty back to the vet, maybe your cat has some sort of tolerance to the meds the doc gave.
