Yup. In order to not the fabric would have to be specially treated. If you can see light through it, it can see you.

P.S. Tanning is sooooo bad for your skin. Derms are seeing more and more cancer on the butts and breasts and vagina because of tannign beds. Please try fake tan in a bottle.

no... i worked at a tanning salon and that is what he told everyone to use that didnt want a certain spot to burn. im sure if you use the towel for long periods of time in a sunbed instead of just your one session (more than 30 minutes at a time) it may go through.

Former Salon owner, here.

The answer is No. If the towel is opaque to visible light, it is opaque to UV rays.

In other words: if you can't see any light through the towel, then you can't get tanned from UV through the towel.

Yup. I've gotten more "sun" than I should have before, just by putting a towel over my face and thinking I was okay.

My friend owns her own tanning bed and she uses a towel and she looks fine and her eyes are perfect and she has been doing it for years but everyone is different. I personally don't agree with fake and bake cause it's so harmful period but just letting you know that my friend is fine from just a towel

place a towel over your face while you're in the bed :)

I would think so, unless its a lead towel :P

If you folded it so a bunch of layers were between your face and the bed that would probably help, just draping a thin towel won't stop much.

no they cant. UV rays can only go through extremely thin things. definintly not your towl. uv rays are so weak that they can only go through the first layer of your skin. that is what causes sunburn and you getting a tan!

no they cant, not even close. A thin piece of paper is enough to stop UV rays.
