stay somewhere on the Strip - lots of choice and it means you;re in the middle of everything. Try Expedia that will let you compare hotel prices by date - this is how we choose our hotels when we go to Vegas. We stayed in The Mirage last time and it was great, but New York New York was also good fun.

Try the website below for UK brides-to-be getting married in Vegas - browse all the chapels, search wedding packages by cost, reception venues by cost and cuisine, and there's a free online magazine too - I found it really useful when planning our wedding last September.

Have a great time!

I am not from the UK but I've been to Vegas three times.... most of the hotels have their own wedding chapels so you can save on transportation costs if you get married where you are staying. You can look up all the casionos online and find wedding package info. I would not suggest staying at MGM (I stayed there once....very nice but TOO big. It took over 20minutes just to walk from our room to the pool). The Bellagio and Venetian are absolutely stunning but WAY expensive. Don't stay there but definitely go to both for a visit. Bellagio's fountain show is INCREDIBLE, especially after dark. If you're looking for very inexpensive, research some of the older hotels in the lower end of the stip (Freemont Street area). Another option is to stay at a hotel a block or two off the strip, like the Rio.

I went to Las Vegas last month for the first time and I loved it. There are lots of things to see and do and I didnt have time to do them all. You should go watch the show at Treasure Island. Its really cool, great special effects. But make sure you stand either on the bridge by the white boat or near it. The other big boat moves toward it and that's the best place to watch the show.

Also, you and your new husband have to go out to the Ballagio fountain show. I believe they are every 15 minutes and (depending on what song's playing) they are soooooo romantic. The one I watched was at 11pm on a Saturday and it was the most romantic thing.

There are also lots of shows to see. I didnt get to see any, but I do want to watch Zumanity from the Cirque de Solei. I hear its extremely sexy.

It you're looking for somewhere romantic to stay I would recommend the Venetian or the Bellagio. We're actually planning a trip back to Vegas in October. I'm so excited.

Congratulations!! You are going to have an amazing time in Las Vegas.

P.S. Dont bother looking for the Las Vegas sign when you get there, its nothing special.

As a Vegas resident, I say that a great place to stay is Paris. Bellagio is wonderful, buy way overpriced compared to the Paris. You can get the same view of the fountains from your hotel room there for about half the price! Another great hotel reasonably priced is the Luxor.

Sights you must see:

Downtown Vegas Light Show

Bellagio Fountains

Stratosphere Observation Deck-and ride the rides if you are daring enough

If you have time, go to the North rim of the Grand Canyon for the new clear observation deck that extends out over the canyon-check the magazines in your hotel for a reasonably priced tour company

Any of the shows in town are excellent-try and take one in if you have time

congratulations! We got married at the Bellagio last September and it was wonderful. Most of the hotels have lovely chapels, and out of the indepedents we also liked Graceland Wedding Chapel, Little Church of the West and Little Chapel of the Flowers. The website below lets you browse every chapel in Las Vegas, search wedding packages by cost and has an online magazine to help with planning. I'd also recommend the book Neon Nuptials which rates (most of) the chapels in Vegas. Good luck!

Got married in Vegas last year. We stayed at the Bellagio for two nights for a treat over ourwedding then moved on to the Luxor which was cheaper. Must see Bellagio Fountains, Venitian Hotel (amazing). Helicopter ride to Grand Canyon is a must. See as many shows as you can theyare all spectacular especially KA at MGM. Have fun x

Hi there

Me and Hubby eloped there in 2005. We kinda toyed with the idea beforehand and put a deposit ($50) on a time slot at a wedding chapel so we would have a pre-booked time when we got there. It was great. We woke up that morning, bought our rings and cos our time was already allotted they provided a chauffeur (who picked us up from the hotel and took us to get our marriage certificate), flowers, photos, garter and all the other bits and bobs. All in all it cost us about £300 and the chauffeur dropped us off at the Stratosphere and we had a celebratory drink in the revolving restaurant which is extremely high and while up there we saw a thunderstorm in the desert which was magical. All in all I highly recommend it (one thing tho - get your certificate after 6pm - the queues are smaller then!) We stayed at the Orleans - nice and cheap with massive rooms. We are going back in September to celebrate our 2 year anniversary!!! Have fun and good luck.

My fiance and I are getting married at the Valley of Fire, about 45 minutes outside of Vegas in the Mojave desert.

We are staying at Cancun Resort and Spa and renting a car. We didn't want to be smack dab in the middle of everything--we wanted to stay somewhere quiet, classy, and relaxing. We'll have plenty of time to see all the sights, and you don't have to stay somewhere to enjoy it's special features.

Congrats!

Look for "package deals" - I'm getting married at the Mandalay Bay, but it's kinda expensive. I've heard that the Riveria has a good package and chapel.
