Why do so many people come in hear just to say something bad about another religion or bang Christians? I though there would actually be some mature people in hear that actually wanted to know something. But all I've found was "why are you so stupid?", "why do you believe in something that so not exist?", and "Evolution is the way you, why are you so dumb?"
Why can't people ask questions like "I always wondered why atheist don't believe in God, what’s your reason?" or "What do you believe in?" and stay away from all the negativity, calling names, and saying that the only person that is right is me me me?
Please tell me why People feel they have to make fun of other people’s religions. Thanks

I have read only a few answers to my question and already have noticed that I made it sound to some of you like I don’t think Christians don’t make fun of other people’s religions. I however did not mean this it’s just that in my personal experience today; I have seen more questions downing Christians than other religions so that why I said it that way.

finally, a sensible question!!(i gave you a star,btw)...i totally agree with you..everybody gives huge boring lectures on world peace, but aren't able to get along even with their neighbours..and over here, since everybody is anonymous, people keep blabbering all sorts of nonsense and rude stuff at each other..makes you lose faith in the human race..in fact, you see less of "sensible" people over here, because this place is saturated with trolls, most having 2 or 3 ids working at the same time, enough to drive any sane person insane...

I believe most people view this as another game to play on yahoo. They get points, earn levels and even rankings. You will even see some people answer a question like this...."thanks for the 2 points". I was like you once. I found this site on yahoo by chance and thought..."hey you can maybe learn some good stuff in here...Questions and answers and maybe I can answer some peoples questions"...Well I know what goes on in here now. Do I play the game too? Yeah and you will find that you will play the game as well. I think you are already, LOL. God Bless.

It's true, there's a lot of that, but sometimes people do ask sincere questions and get at least some sincere answers.
You can usually tell how it's going to go by looking at the question. Does it appear to answer itself and does it immediately betray a bias on the part of the asker? Stay away if you don't want to see the nastiness!
But I find that when people ask a real question and make a point of saying, "I'm really asking, only serious responses please," there are usually a few good, thoughtful replies.

I don't understand why every now and then someone comes and asks this question. Were you not expecting rudeness on the Internet? Don't concentrate on those people, there are many people who are polite and deserve more attention.
The reason that people make "fun" of religion is because many religious people are arrogant and self-righteous, plain and simple. I know that not all theists are that way but unfortunately they get caught in the crossfire.

I have noticed the same things, not only from the athiests and non-Chirstians, but from Christians themselves.
People belittle others beliefs for many reasons. Most are insecure in their own beliefs and mock others to feel good about themselves. Others believe they are so much smarter than anyone else and are intellectual snobs. And some just try to irk whoever asks the question.
You can't control what anyone else does, so just be respectful and ignore anyone who isn't.

People are people first. All are a result of the causes and conditions that make them think and react like they do. Buddhism calls a lot of reaction clinging to a concept of "ego" or self-cherishment. The point is that if their commentary or questions are disturbing your mind, you can choose to cultivate a calmer mind that doesn't react negatively every time. Why do their questions REALLY disturb you? Something in YOUR mind which you believe nobody has a "right" to touch... ego-clinging, where your concepts of reality are being challenged and you don't like it. If you remove the buttons people push, you'll feel a lot calmer.

I'm sorry to say. That if you have to ask that question. What denomination are you? I'm 1 God. Not trinity. I was baptised in Jesus name. I was filled with the Holy Ghost as evidenced by speaking in tongues. You won't find any other Christian in the bible. Find 1 person, baptised any other way. Now with that being said. GOD will be removed from everything. No one that has any power to hinder it, will. Because when these people have the earth. I'll be outta here. I'm glad to see it because, it won't be long. But while I'm here. I'll still fight false doctrine.

I think it's mostly because because people have little to no imagination. It takes people to think to ak why, and that's the beginning of questions.
Unfortunately I've also found this to be true of people involved in religions as well, Christianity, Muslim, Buddhist, Atheit, etc. Many people get so caught up in the entraptments of their religion they forget that people are naturally curious and imaginative. Many people have just forgotten how.

I guess it's because they can't see things from others' point of view. I know it hurts as my father himself is a Buddhist and out of 6 people in the family, only my sister and I are Christians. My dad believes in ancestral worship, you see, and he slapped my sister once when she refused to worship my grandfather. He's really a "hard" person, that's all I can say.
The thing is, I guess some are just trying to pull you away from what they think is "bad", whereas you might think it's "good".
It's really nothing to do with them, I guess. Do believe in what you think it's right, don't let others influence you!

i noticed you did not make any reference to the negative statements of christians.( hmm....very telling)
religion is a me me me thing.
Each person who follows a faith feels they have chosen correctly.
Most religions revolve around some guy, who always seem to resemble the majority of his followers,
If Jesus was portrayed as Asian would he have the same people following his religion? Doubtful
