There may be a problem with your main battery fuse or battery connection, but there also may be a problem with your remote wire. An amp won't turn on unless there's voltage on the main power terminal AND voltage on the remote terminal. The best method of troubleshooting is to test the voltage with a multimeter.

If the power connections are good, check the in line fuse after the battery, it may be blown. Also check the remote wire connection of the head unit going to the amps, to make sure it works connect a voltage tester in the wire to see if there's current flowing to the amps (remember to turn on the radio to test it), if no power is coming from your unit then replace it. If still no power remove the cap and test for voltage by connecting the tester to both terminals, connect one amp to test it without the cap.

depends on how many amps you r pushing in your sound system. if too great for the battery this will use up the batterys pwer. you need a heavier battery and a larger amp alternator. if this is not done it will kill both your battery and your alternator due to the overload
