The confusion is caused by trolls. I think you can tell by the posts here which are the trolls and which are the genuine. Wolves in sheep clothing cannot hide their nature.

The problem with basing any debate on the Bible is the many and contradictory Bibles from which to quote. Confusion is a natural resultant and has nothing to do with your ability to sift truth from conjecture. The other problem is "Herd mentality." Someone who stated some fact, vehemently, based on there Bible, will, in a later questions answer contradict themselves to support another Christian's statement from that person's Bible.
The other problem is those that act the part of God-heads and assure everyone they can guide people to the truth of the Bible through teaching faith. Most of these are more egoists than teachers.
When all is said and done, remember, all religions are run and supported by--or support--human beings with foibles and egos.

The best thing that you can do to not get confused is when you are confronted with something from the bible that you do not understand is to pick up the bible and read it for yourself. Most of the bible passages that people post on here are taken out of context and is meant to put the Christian on the spot. Feel free to e-mail me if you have serious questions. There is only one question that you need the answer to that will end your confusion forever. How do we tell the difference between the mental voices of the unholy and Holy Spirits? The only place you will find the correct answer is in your heart of hearts. If there is any part of you that does not want to know the answer, then it will not be given to you.

Just like Schneb, said,
if you have serious inquiries, email me.
Do not let these people get to you. They are not really seeking for the truth, a lot of them, not all, just want to poke fun with these questions. I know some atheists might be really searching for God, if that's you, I am not talking about you.
Remember 1 Corinthians 2: 14
The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Why did Jesus communicate in parables? He used parables to imprecise the fact from unbelievers mutually as making it clearer to His disciples. For the final of His Galilean ministry, He did no longer communicate to the multitudes different than in parables. Jesus’ veiling the fact from unbelievers this manner grew to become into the two an act of judgment and an act of mercy. It grew to become into judgment because of fact it saved them in the darkness that they enjoyed (John 3:19), even regardless of the undeniable fact that it grew to become into mercy considering they had already rejected the easy, so any exposure to greater reality might basically strengthen their condemnation. Our Lord Jesus understood that reality isn't candy music to all ears. in basic terms placed, there are people who've neither pastime nor regard in the deep problems with God. So why, then, did He communicate in parables? to those with a actual starvation for God, the myth is the two an efficient and noteworthy motor vehicle for the conveyance of divine truths. Our Lord’s parables incorporate great volumes of reality in very few words—and His parables, wealthy in imagery, are no longer actually forgotten. So, then, the myth is a blessing to those with prepared ears. yet to those with uninteresting hearts and ears that are sluggish to hearken to, the myth is likewise an tool of the two judgment and mercy.

Here's a religious doctrine for you: "I'm right, you're wrong."
Pretty sorry doctrine, eh? Tell you what. If you hear a different pattern in church, call me at home.
