I have 2 tattoos. One is a 4 leaf clover, about an inch and a half wide/tall, on the left side of my lower back. I got it when I was 21. A year later, I got a small (1 inch long) tat of my zodiac symbol (Libra) on my right hip.

While I've only had them for a few years (I'm almost 25 now), I have no regrets. The clover was something that I had wanted for a long time, so it was well planned and thought out. The Libra symbol was a bit of an impulse, my best friend in college was also a Libra, and I went with him when he got the same symbol tattooed on his wrist, and I liked it so much I got one for myself.

I think I like both of mine so much because they are symbols of my identity. I also think I was smart to put them in places that could be covered up for professional environments, but shown off when I want to, although the one on my hip is really only seen my my boyfriend, or when I'm in a swim suit.

Right now, I love it and I'm not dieing from it so why would I hate it? When I'm sooooo long that my skin is sagging I wont care what my tattoo(s) look like, by then I'll have more important things in my life and some pretty great stories to tell my grandkids. I got mine on Good Friday with one of my best friends. We are both 18 and have known each other for ten years, this was pretty special to us both. I have a Kanji for Dragon on my ankle in just the outline. It's simple and me ... Do you have any and do you regret them if you do?

Most of them I love but I have 2 on my arm and they are chinese symbols that mean mother and wife. I regret them only because I am half Filipino and I should have done it in that language instead. Then it would have some meaing for my heritage as well.

I like to view my tattoos as snapshots of who I was at that time in my life. Some I love, because I love who I was at the time. Some, not so much. They were created at a time of great pain. They're my life's story. Some of it is pretty, some of it isn't. But it's all me.

Nope. My only tattoo currently (I'm planning another) is the constellation Cassiopeia inside my right hip. I got it at 16, and I still love it.

I don't regret a single one of them!!!!

I have a green dragon on my left shoulder blade
I have my daughter's footprints on my right shoulder blade
I have a purple sea horse on my right ankle
I have a kitsune (Japanese fox) dressed as a geisha down my spine.

I started getting them when I was 19 and I'm still going strong - and I'm 30-mumble now.

I wondered the same thing the other day in the grocery store when I saw a woman who had to be in her 80's , walking with a walker who had a snake tattoo on her ankle.

I got mine last August...I was 21 baby!! I got a Hawaiian Flower on my hip and love it...!!! It's got no color...it's more of a tribal looking thick black tat. I was orginally going to add some color, but I'm glad I didn't because it looks good the way it is. I'm saving a colored tat for my tramp stamp that I want to get soon!!
