Does everyone need to be a believer in order for the second coming to happen? Do you get bonus points for converting the non-believers?

I guess I am really asking because I see so many people get abusive here on Yahoo Answers and wonder sometimes why people allow themselves to get quite so wound up.

In answer to your first question: I care because I have a burden on my heart for those who don't know Jesus. However, I will not force my beliefs on anyone. I plant the seed - the rest is up to God.

In answer to your second question: No. Everyone will not be a believer at the time of the second coming; however, everyone WILL have heard the gospel and had the chance to become a believer.

In answer to your third question: No. Just the joy of welcoming another person into the family of God. (And 2 points from YA for answering a question.)

I too am amazed by the number of abusive posts from people claiming to be Christians. The gospel can be offensive, because it involves dying to our self-centered natures. But there is no need to be obnoxious, especially since we're called to speak the truth in love.

There is no such things as "bonus points" with the Lord. No, not everyone has to be a believer. It's not being a believer that is important. It's being saved. Satan and his demons are believers they tremble in fear of the name of Jesus Christ., but saving people, and showing them the way to Salvation through Christ is what Christians are to do. We are to be soul winners. Love each other as we would love ourselves.

Why don't you try opening up the Bible, and start in the Book of John in the New Testament, you'll get all your answers you need there.

No, not everybody needs to be a believer for the second coming to occur, but everybody will have needed the chance to choose whether they want to live a Christian lifestyle or not.

LOL, no we don't get "bonus points" but merely it is what we have been called to do upon becoming a follower of Christ.

I also hate it when Christians always fight, they never seems to just want to talk and explain, they always want to "slam" somebody for some reason!

No. Maybe, but not the motivation, can't possibly fathom hell, wouldn't want to see anyone go there, if at all possible for me to tell as many people the good news as possible, all will hear it, some will believe it and I am not ashamed of Jesus so I spread the gospel all over the place, like it or not. To help as many positive people as I can. Through the ministry
of the Holy spirit's guiding me.

Misty said it perfectly. We do have a side effect of love...Which is pretty cool.

I think that what you see on here, as people getting all wound up is lack of maturity in Christ. People sometimes need to grow...

my dad used to say, you shouldn't turn into a butterfly when you get saved, you should turn into a duck. And learn to let things roll off your back...
Anger and harsh words do nothing for the kingdom.

As a Christian, it is our duty to lead others to Christ, and yes we will be awarded for each one, If a building was on fire, would you not try to get everyone out, even though some would not believe it was on fire. During Judgment day, all the condemned souls, that we had a chance to lead to Christ, and didn't is gonna be sad moment, and this will be before the Lord wipes away our tears.

No, everyone does not have to be believer. Of course it is nice to know that the offer is for everyone, and we should try our best to let people to know that.

I believe that there are rewards in heaven. I do not know if everyone goes to the same place in heaven, but I believe I get closer to God when I help others. It does not have to do necessarily with "converting". It is sharing love.

It is not the believers responsibility to convert anyone. God does this, once we choose to follow Christ. Believers are to live their lives as an example to the world. We are to be beacons of light, for non-believers like yourself. Furthermore, Jesus will return, whether you accept him or reject him. "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, in Earth, as it is in heaven." (Matthew, 6:10).
