JEALOUSY!!! From the very beginning God has made Choices that Man cannot accept! The choice of the offerings of Cain & Abel caused the first "Murder" by Cain who was Jealous of Abel receiving Favor from God. When God found Righteousness in Abram and granted him the Honor of being the "Father of the Hebrew Nation", the rest of Mankind detested him for it. The Jewish Nation because of one Man was now receiving Blessings far in excess of other Nations building more Jealousy over the Centuries!!! The Jewish Nation were given "Mandates" by God that Promoted the "Better Things in Life" such as Family, Health & Wealth that have carried down to this day. The Wickedness in Mans heart (O.S.N.-Old Sin Nature) strikes out at Anything or Anyone who is "Better" than U are in an Attempt to "Drag U Down". John

Since the Jewish culture is so unique, it is easy to come up with ways to tease. Being known as the "chosen people of God" would set anybody up for jokes. Also, Judaism is extremely rich in tradition. An ignorant person doesn't take the time to understand traditions and culture... and some people make fun of what they can't understand.

I think you've already received some good answers. Sadly, Jews are often viewed as "the other", because our religion and, to some extent, culture, can be different than the general milieu in which we have lived. People who feel inferior, or who are of ignorant, greedy, jealous, stupid, arrogant--the list goes on--tend to view "the other" in very negative ways. "The other" isn't confined to Jews. Blacks, Latinos, Irish, Polish, Asians--you name it. A sad statement about the human condition, but there you are.

because jews make good scapegoats.
The fact that a larger proportion of the jewish population is successfull lends very easily to jealousy.
you see the same with asians, indians and any other "immigrant" group that is successfull bieng scapegoated- It's happening now to the russians who come to the U.S. except its attitudes of law-enforcement that add to it in thier case.

I think it's because they have been prosecuted since the time after Christ. People just find Hitler humorous, I guess.
