Absolutely. His word is all around us, there is no where we can look that does not contain God. Even in the ugliest or darkest place, if we look heard enough he will show himself to us! I know with everything that I am that there are people who will be in heaven who have never laid eyes on a bible. Reading the bible is an enrichment, not a requirement! This question helps me to understand where you are at in your walk right now!! Thank you for that insight. your friend, Kimmie

Fair enough.
I am a Christian, and I believe in the Bible. But I think you make an interesting argument. Isaac Newton, although a devout Christian, would probably agree with you. He felt that science illustrated order and reason, which suggested to him a God. Also, many theologians in many different religions, including Judaism and Christianity, have written that meditation and reflection are important parts of finding God within ourselves. Some people may do this through reading the Bible, but I don't see any reason why you couldn't do the same thing reflecting while looking into the heavens. Perhaps the writers of the Bible were doing just that when they wrote it!
In any case, I don't know you or your heart. So who am I to say you are wrong? Essentially, you are looking for a direct link to God, and the important thing is that you find that link, moreso than WHERE you find it. I'd give you more credibility than someone who doesn't believe in anything. Carry on, and watch out for meteorites! :-)

I agree and disagree at the same time! I do not understand what bible you are reading that you think all Jewish wrote it! Although I do understand your point, at my church we had a discussion on this particular subject, we stated that lets say someone in Africa all by themselve never been told the story of god, would have to find a way to reach him! So god puts signs and signals into the heart of all of us! It takes a special person to listen to them!
However I do also feel that the bible is the way of life, the key to life, and the guide to life!
If you are having a problem in your life, like a big one, close your eyes pray than open the bible, read both pages and your problem will be solved, God will open the bible to an area that will help! The bible is full of wonderful miracles, that not a single human could begin to explain!
I really enjoyed your question!
HOPE THIS HELPS!

I do not think it works the same way with everybody. When you are in love with God then you can gain more information by dwelling in His word.
I believe that His word is written into our hearts and written in the nature and heavens because when I read my Bible, it confirms a lot of my thoughts.
Different times a different verse has a lot different meaning than other times. I do not have a problem with Jewish people writing a book. God can use us all. He has jobs for all of us. He qualifies us as we go.

God is everywhere. So if you look at the clouds or at a person or plant, you should be able to feel God's presence/wisdom. The book of God, such as Bible, Quran are the scripture of God, where God writes what he expects of his servants (us).
I admire your belief in God but I would like you to look at scriptures that were written by God so that you can gain more/better wisdom.

Of course !!! The Bible is merely printed words on paper. As such, it IS subject to censorship by other humans and HAS been revised many times to reflect the views of the people conducting the reviews of that work. The universe IS the actual handiwork of the Creator, It doesn't change based on someone's interpretations. It is NOT subject to censorship or revision based on anyones authoritarian views (other than the Creator him/herself). It IS the TRUTH in the CREATOR'S own handwriting. To SEE what the Creator intended as a message for EACH individual, all one has to do is LOOK and contemplate on what is being looked at, whether the heavens or simply a blade of grass.
Your insight on this is truly remarkable and refreshing. Thank you for posing such a question.
Brightest Blessings,

Absolutely! I wouldn't call it information. But definately a sense of God. I am in Namibia and we have the dge of the Milkyway right above us most of the time and alsmost no lights, well none in thedesert. One can read by the light of the moon and starts! It is awe inspiring. Much better way of seeing God than through the narrow eyes of religion or the sermons of a bigot. One can appreciate the purety and love that should be. Infinite celestial beauty. God.

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. 2 Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. 3 There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. [a] 4 Their voice [b] goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun, 5 which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion, like a champion rejoicing to run his course. 6 It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is hidden from its heat. 7 The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. 8 The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes. 9 The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the LORD are sure and altogether righteous. 10 They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb. 11 By them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward. 12 Who can discern his errors? Forgive my hidden faults. 13 Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then will I be blameless, innocent of great transgression. 14 May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Well, I know you're not going to like this answer, but in Psalms and in Romans it talks about how the creation speaks of and bears witness to the Lord's existence. So yes, you can learn by looking up at the stars, not as much as when you read his word, but you can learn if you open your heart. If you don't open your heart, well, you can still just keep asking questions in here for the heck of it.

defenetly not! The bible is GOD's word, and God spelled with a big G, talks about our god, the god of the bible! other gods are spelled with loger g, so unless you are talking about other gods then no, you will defenetly get more from the bible.
Dont' get me wrong though, God can also speak through nature, people, object and anything else. Maybe that day God spoke to you more through nature.
