Well rhsaunders, this question is directed to people who actually are Catholic and know what they're talking about. And if you're going to post a death toll, you need to also include an unbiased, proven documented source.

granny...loved your answer as well. Nice to see someone mention the Holy Father as well. It's always nice to hear from converts, and congratulations on coming home to Rome.

The daily meeting with Jesus in the breaking of the bread, the eucharist, in the word, the reading of scripture, in the community gathered together, and in the priests, in a mysterious way by the grace of the sacrament they received (despite their weaknesses). The daily outpouring of the Holy Spirit at the reception of the eucharist. The intercession of saints I'd never heard of but somehow were praying for me when I was lost.
Really, to sum it all up, the fact that the Church is the sacrament of salvation in the world where my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ continues His mission of salvation through earthen vessels. Humbling experience!

That i finished working in the direction of that sect of Christianity greater effective than 20 years in the past (and have in no way regarded decrease back...). I spent some years linked with a Roman Catholic non secular order as I studied for the priesthood and left after getting to know to examine Hebrew, Greek, Latin and a few Aramaic, interpreting the historic progression of the canonized scriptures and the genuine historical past of the Roman Catholic church, which proves that "the actuality will set you loose". namaste

It's not easy to choose just one aspect of our Church as a favorite, because there's so much about it that's precious to me -- particularly as a convert. My top three, though:
1. The Eucharist. Way out in front, as the source and summit of our faith.
2. Our unity. I can attend a Mass anywhere, any time, in any language, and know that all over the world we're hearing the same readings, praying in unison, and united in Communion.
3. Our Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, who said: "Truth is not determined by a majority vote".

I like the teachings of love for all unlike some of the sheer hatred put out by some on this site lately against us. The Catholic Faith is a little bit different than the other Protestant denominations because John's Gospel is a little bit different. We take after John who took Jesus' Mother into his home as his own Mother yet we are belittled for our love of Jesus' Mother. I don't get such animosity. We offer a hand in friendship to others but get it bit almost every time.
Oh and yes...the MOST IMPORTANT THING ----JESUS

I love the Mass, and everything surrounding it. I love the presence of Christ in our living church. I love the fact that the Catholic Church has stood tall and come thru so much for over 2,000 years. And I love the fact that the Catholic Church is the ONLY Church that preaches the complete fullness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ God Almighty and has done so for over 2,000 years and has not changed to fit the in with the flow of the world, but continues to stand on truth, the TRUTH of Jesus Christ.

The peace that church brings me and the uplifting messages I hear every Sunday. Not to mention the beautiful music every holiday and having a chance to talk to visiting priests, monks and nuns. It's always interesting to hear from Catholics around the world.

It relaxes me to go. I feel good the whole day after mass.
It is really hard to say what is the favorite part. I think its more of the community feel of the Catholic Church I go to.
