So many guys have lied to me in the past i now find it hard to trust them. How do you know when uve found an honest guy, and how much lying should you put up with?

It's unfair to generalize guys like that. Just because many guys had lied to you in the past, doesn't mean that all guys in this planet are liars as well.
A liar is not determined by gender, age or nationality. I know lots of girls who lied to their boyfriends or husbands as well. It's just a characteristic of a person.
Don't give up on your hope to find an honest guy, there are plenty of them, trust me :)
Just show positive attitude and you'll get positive results.

How about - Why does everyone lie? Why will every human being on this planet tell a lie? Human Nature. Protective instincts. We want to impress others, be envied, be the dominant, feel strong and feel important. Sometimes your own life accomplishments don't quite measure up to what you feel is impressive. I'm a girl and honestly, I believe the boys who do lie (and not all do- not about big things anyway) is because they want to impress! Now if your boy is lying about seeing other women and getting around well he is a sleeze and there is no point questioning the lies, your better off backhanding the son of a *****. But if he is lying to talk himself up a bit then take a step back and think about all the white lies an exaggerations you have made regarding who you are. You might be surprised, and maybe the question would be reversed to why do you lie?

you shouldnt put up with any lying at all, but its not just the guys that do it, Im going through a simiiliar situation right this very moment with my significant other, went through it with my last 2 significant others as well, started off as lyeing then with my last one ended up in cheating. Trust is trust regardless of how you look at it and if you cant trust them over small issues, imagine how it will be with larger ones. If youve been hurt I can also tell you from experience its hard for anybody to gain your trust again, and when you have found that honest person, it could potentially push them away. If you feel youve met that honest person, but still not sure if your heart and your head agree, its best to put all your cards on the table, let them know of your past issues, Im lucky enough to have that now, and she is willing to work through this with me, thats how you know youve met someone special........ when they dont argue cause you snoop through phones, or whatever you need to do to gain trust in that person. The best bit of advice is to trust someone to begin with, but I know from experience thats easier said then done. If he cares and knows you ve been hurt and most of all not hiding anything from you, he will welcome the idea to help you overcome your trust issues, its helped me tremendously. If he allows that, then he's a definet keeper....... thats how I found out mine is a keeper....... I couldnt have done it without her.

I guess its so that they can talk to girls on their own level... touche.
You'll know when you find an honest guy, we're not all bad! If I stopped trusting all girls based on the lies of some others, I'd go mad.

Here's the thing...you never are actually meant to trust anyone. We all lie...both men and women. To be fully honest, no matter how much you might say you know the person you love...you never fully get to finish knowing them.
My best advice is to follow your heart. ^_^

Guys suck, it's just that simple. And I freely admit that I've done my share of lying and I've paid for it. It's really hard to tell when you've met an honest guy, given your history it will be really hard for you to know when you've found one.

it's unfair to put all guys into one box. it's unfortunate you feel the way you do, i'm a guy and i believe in absolute honesty no matter what the circumstances, i don't see girls as good examples of honesty either.

i love your question....i think that you just have to keep believing the best in people and the first sign of trouble let them go because the longer you stay in the relationship the harder it will be to let go...
