Younger than you expect, and usually on Saturday night when the vet won't be open till Monday morning.
Seriously, as young as four months, though six months is the more common age.
At the vet hospital where I work, we just had to do an emergency C-section on a cat who was only five months old and too small for the kittens to be delivered naturally. (We saved her and three of the four kittens.)

5-8 months of age, but usually around 6 months. 6 months is the reccomended age for spaying females, every heat cycle they go through increases their risks for some types of cancer.
with millions of kittens euthanized every year becuase of lack of homes, there is no good reason why any female (other than purebred/show cats who have attended shows to prove they are worthy of being bred) cat should not be spayed.
Every litter borns means another litter will be killed.

usually around 6 months, but occassionally as young as 4 months. Please get her speyed ASAP (4-6 months old). If your vet wants to m ake you wait till 6 months (many do) then keep her STRICTLY INDOOR from 4 months until she is speyed, to avoid pregnancy. Getting pregnant at that age would be like a 9 year old child who's had their first period getting pregnant. Not good!!
Stop the pet over-population problem. Spey and neuter!

This can vary from cat to cat. Most vets wont fix a cat till its gone through heat, I personally opt for fixing them before @ say 4-6 months.
They can get pregnant before signs of heat...
