Nah, we'll have blown ourselves up by then.

I won't be living in the year 4006 here on earth if the last days haven't occurred yet. Hopefully I will be in heaven with my Lord and Savior. As a Christian, I do not serve for a date.

This planet will be eaten up by the sun by then... but even if we did survive, whose to say we could not maybe be in the beginning stages of evolution again? It's all got to end and begin again.
How do we know this is humanity's first time round?
I think that Human Kind evolves to a point and then it ends. the cycle is started all over again. Who knows how many times evolution has taken place on this planet?
Fossils are millions of years old, and yet the creationists babble on about the earth only being about 7000 or 8000 years old? Everything is repeated.. Read Ecclesiastes:
Ecc 1:9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
Ecc 1:10 Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.
Ecc 1:11 There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.

Some Christians claim that Genesis, in claiming that the earth was made in six days, was actually being metaphorical in the "one day can seem a thousand years to God" way.
With that logic, as far as God's concerned, one day is about 750 million years.
If Jesus is coming back "any day now", then the year 4006 is only.. 0.230285 seconds away. Cut him some slack, that's not enough time to put on his robes.

In the year 2525
If man is still alive
If woman can survive
They may find
In the year 3535
Ain't gonna need to tell the truth, tell no lie
Everything you think, do and say
Is in the pill you took today
In the year 4545
You ain't gonna need your teeth, won't need your eyes
You won't find a thing to chew
Nobody's gonna look at you
In the year 5555
Your arms hangin' limp at your sides
Your legs got nothin' to do
Some machine's doin' that for you
In the year 6565
You won't need no husband, won't need no wife
You'll pick your son, pick your daughter too
From the bottom of a long glass tube
In the year 7510
If God's a-coming, He oughta make it by then
Maybe He'll look around Himself and say
"Guess it's time for the judgement day"
In the year 8510
God is gonna shake His mighty head
He'll either say "I'm pleased where man has been"
Or tear it down, and start again
In the year 9595
I'm kinda wonderin' if man is gonna be alive
He's taken everything this old earth can give
And he ain't put back nothing
Now it's been ten thousand years
Man has cried a billion tears
For what, he never knew
Now man's reign is through
But through eternal night
The twinkling of starlight
So very far away

Sure, we've thought we've been living in the last days ever since the first days. Everyone always interprets things as the end of the world. A couple thousand years later and nothing has changed.

I personally think that the the end of days will happen around 3300, just because before the rapture to happen, I think that we need time for Christianity to "die out" and quiet, because if it were to happen now, everybody will know whats going on and there won't be massive confusion like the prophecy predicts. Everybody left would be like "oops we were wrong, we know what the truth is now" and convert and there would be no one left to martyr after the rapture because everybody would know it was God. Most of this is thanks to the "Left Behind" series which believers and atheist both enjoy...thats what I think at least

It shows how little grasp of history the fundies have when they think that they are the only ones to live in the Last Days.
Hey Christians! People have believed that Armageddon was just around the corner for 2000 years. This Church-inspired fear is a tool to control you.

I believe we will, even when Paul we alive they thought the second coming was soon. The Bible says that even the Son doesn't know the day and the hour. We just need to always be ready. Good Question!

Nah, it will take at least another 5 million years before enough of the sun's hydrogen is converted to higher elements and it becomes a red giant. Then we'll see the "end days."
