The Bible at Ps. 83:18 says that Jehovah is the Most High. Concerning his existence, Ps. 90:2 says he is from everlasting to everlasting, meaning that he has always existed. On the other hand, Jesus has not always existed. At Col. 1:15, Jesus is called the "firstborn of every creature. " Tha means that of all created beings, Jesus was the first.

Jesus showed at John 6:57 that he owed hs existence to his Father. There, he said: "I live because of the Father." That shows that Jesus has not always existed like his Father.

No.
The Trinity doctrine is the result of Babylonian influence on tradition and translation.
The Bible clearly indicates that Jehovah (the Father, God Almighty) and Jesus (the Son, the Word, Michael the Archangel) are 2 distinct separate individuals. The Holy Spirit is not a person, but God's active force.
In the beginning Jehovah was talking to Jesus when he said "Let us make man in our image", because Jesus was His Master Worker. Jesus created all things at Jehovah's behest.
People trip all over themselves trying to prove the trinity doctrine and somehow miss the fact that Jesus never claimed to be God. The fact that he always has been and always will be inferior to his Father is all over the Bible.

Here is the way I was told. God didn't even make God...He is and always has been. In the Old Testament the world was a mess so God sent his son (human form) to set the world right. That is where Jesus came into the picture. Then after 33 years he was crucified, die and was buried on the third day he rose from the dead giving us the Holy Spirit. Now...that is the time-line...However if you believe years, centuries, and millenniums are just milli-seconds to God...then they too have always been. They were a lesson to us...and a forever for him.

The Trinity is spoken of from the beginning of the Bible. Genesis 1:1 spoke of God. Genesis 1:2 spoke of the Spirit of God. Genesis 1:3 The word spoken by God was Jesus (John 1:1-3).

The 3 parts of the Godhead are not separate entities, 2 were not created by one. If they were they wouldnt be God. So yes from the beginning there was Jesus, Holy Spirit and God....3 parts of 1 God.

Christians believe that the Trinity consists of God, the Father; God, The Son and God, the Holy Spirit. 0ne God in three persons, ever existant.
If you do not understand that you are in good company....how would you expect fully to understand God?

Christianity clearly teaches that the trinity existed eternally. I John 1 it speaks about Jesus being "In the beginning" with God. In Genesis 1 the Spirit of God is moving on the surface of the deep, and in Psalm 2 God, and His Son are mentioned. The trinity can be found throughout the whole of the Bible.

In Christianity,

God = Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

Jesus was not named as such in the beginning, but the Word (Logos) was with the Father and the Holy Spirit. All three Persons created/s all that exists.

Hope that helps!

It depends on which Christian denomination you ask. The Catholic Church says that God is the Father, the Son and the Spirit, so in the beginning all 3 existed. God existed in the beginning. God is of all 3 divine persons.

The Bible does prove this to be true. In the book of Hebrews and Revelations it shows that the Son, Jesus, was at the beginning. Jesus is the Word, the Word was at the beginning. It's truly a whole study if you are interested.

God bless!

The Hebrew word for God throughout the Old Testament is Elohiym, which is plural. The Jews spoke of the Shekinah, or Holy Spirit, and, as one other respondent stated, the creation account says "Let US make man in our own image..."

The Israelites didn't fully understand the triune nature of God, but they did acknowledge that God had a plural nature, as indicated in the use of the word Elohiym for God. When Christ came to earth, the mystery, though still not fully understood, was accepted by many of the Jews. But it is still a stumbling block for many because the concept of one God and three personalities is impossible for our imperfect human minds to fully comprehend.
