This is beyond my comprehension!

As this society continues to reject God, we seem to be spiraling to new lows. This so called "free-thinking" attitude is nothing lies from the devil.

How can a woman "THINK" that she has the RIGHT to sell her children?? Nothing but a thoughbred FOOL could do this.
These people have rejected God and sold their souls.

God is not pleased:

"And even as they DID NOT LIKE TO RETAIN GOD IN THEIR KNOWLEDGE, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are WORTHY OF DEATH, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them." Romans 1:28-32

Well, it's a double evil...how can a mother sell her children for sex and why are there adult men looking for sex with children?

It is a sickness that is washing over this society and people aren't even aware that it's happening. It's pure, unrestrained selfishness...the use of any and all means (even ones own children) to attain something.

Our society has devalued life. The only life that matters any more is your own. This started with the "I'm Ok You're Ok" thinking and has snowballed into whatever I want is important and what you want is not.

I'm so sorry for those young girls. It reminds me of the child pornography sting that was conducted a few years ago. There was an entire network of people who were selling videos of the sexual abuse of their own kids. They filmed their own children being sexually and physically abused and then sold these videos on the Internet...some of these kids were babies. What is wrong with people that they would do this? Again...what is wrong with people that they would buy this?

It is about a lack of belief in God. Not in each individual case but collectively, as a society. We don't care for each other or watch out for each other as we should. Person to person...seeing that each human being is made in the image of God and remembering that Christ loves and died for all of us.

Its reprehensible to be sure, but I don't think Christianity has anything to do with this, though you've certainly been confrontational about it. Don't ask the opinions of others if you're not open to the answer. if all you want is people to agree with you, maybe put a disclaimer to that effect somewhere in the text. "Note- author wishes only validation of her set of beliefs and is not interested in any other views" That said, you're quick to make sure to group this woman with "Them thar atheists" I'm willing to bet if you asked the woman about her faith, she's be as devout a Bible thumper as ever you met. I'm reminded of the Catholic priests in this instance, who were caught molesting children. Humans are humans no matter what their faith. And yes her action is atrocious, but who are YOU to pass judgment on her soul? Why for that matter do you think you have the right to cast sick people like that in with us "Heathens"? Christians have a lot more to answer for than any other single faith. When was the last time you saw a headline that said "Druid Priest rapes and kills ____"? I think there's a choice phrase in that book you're so quick to cram down everyone's throats "Judge not lest ye be judged"
Maybe think on that before you speak again.

how can you link this to atheists, there is nothing in the article suggesting this, for all you know they could be religious, and making accusations like this could well get you a clout in some parts of the world, like my office!

you can't say if she was extremely poor, or not, and had no choice because she needed to buy food, which she could with that money,

presides the whole argument is pure conjecture, because it is a mere acusation with nothing to support it at this time if the facts change then obviously it changes it

I agree no one has the right to do that, but it doesn' make 'free-thinkers' responsable

have a nice day
BTW if the devil talks to you and tells you lies, I know how you can stop that, you need a psychiatrist no a priest

I agree that she does not have God in her life right now but, we need to look at what has happened in a person's past to make them think it would be alright to do this. I am thinking of maybe something like this was done to her or some sort of a hand me down attitude from slavery days. (many were sold by their white masters) . We do not know the situation. Now, after saying all that, it could have just been plain drugs.

Orphanages can't be all bad---some of them are Christian owned. Not all children belong with their mothers, apparently. The earliest known story I think of such a case is when Lot tried to offer his virgin daughters to the mob of Sodom in place of the mob "knowing" the angels. Some people think that just because something is in the Bible, then it's okay. Yes, the mother featured on msnbc is godless, but more importantly, she is without morals or a code of ethics.

There is nothing sorrier than a sorry woman. You can judge a nation by the morals of their women. As the "God deniers" increase our children will suffer. The devil is attacking our children in any way that he can. If the devil can destroy our youth, he can destroy the nation.

It is time for Christian mothers to stand up and say - ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Our children will be protected and no devil in hell will stop us from protecting our children.

This is very sad.

Not something to do with any religion tho.

This has something to do with having no morals or codes or principles to live by.

I betcha the mother's own mom didnt know any better, thus, the importance of teaching our kids right from wrong is again emphasized here, so they grow up to be decent people. and not someone like this.

Ok, what that woman did was DISGUSTING and she should be put in prison for the rest of her life.

The only thing that gets to me about what you said is that "free-thinking" is lies from the devil. There is a big difference between free-thinking and forcing your underage daughters to have sex with strange men. Don't confuse free-thinking with the insanity of a so-called mother.

Well all I am saying is that I rely on my OWN thinking and would never even think of doing something so henious. I don't blame what she did on free-thinking, I blame it ONLY on her.

Well Texas is a mostly Christian state, and maybe God's will that told her to do that, there are worst things in the bible than that. Maybe she should have rejected God earlier, and none of this would have happen.

Edit: To Jaydee.

I do know your God, but you don't know me nor do you know society.

Edit: To Jaydee.

Yes I do KNOW your God; but please don't let my answer to your question, or let's say my opinion about your question offends you. Like I said, you do not know me or my beliefs nor do you know society.

Have a nice day.

I live in Houston. This was an absolutely appalling story when I first heard about it.

I wanted to drive down to that apartment complex, and just let her have it.

But you are so correct. Because these people have become prideful, unthankful, and have rejected God, God just let them go into their own moral depravity.

Come the day when the Book of Judgement, what a tradgic excuse she is going to have to state when asked WHY she did this!
