I want to know how does someone start a career as a wine conisseur? I am really interested in working in a winery, learning about the different types, how to taste wine and make a career out of it. What type of salary does a wine taster make?

I don't know of any careers as a wine taster. Most tasting is done by the wine maker who, when called for, changes his blends and making techniques to make the most perfect wines he can. You might contact some wineries, or schools in wine making states such as California and see what is available there. The biggest program in wine making etc. that I know of is at the University of California at Davis. You might want to start there.

You could be a restaurant sommelier.
They get paid to taste and test the wine.
Sounds like the perfect job to me!
