It was clearly believed that Jesus went to heaven in bodily form and now religions are trying to teach that he went in spirit form. The diciples were suppose to walk him up the hill so how do they all walk his spirit up the hill and he proved he was Jesus by showing the nail holes in his hands. How come people believe in the diciples when they didnt believe in Jesus cause instead of waiting for his resurection they went fishing?

Sorry, that's not a fact.

All of the stuff written about Jesus is hearsay. It was written decades after he died, if he existed at all, by people who wanted others to believe he fulfilled earlier prophecies.

Heaven is a superstition. When you die, you're just dead. The whole ressurection story is a fairytale.

Until the Holy Spirit came, the disciples were afraid of everything. Jesus went bodily up in a cloud to heaven. The Holy Spirit brought everything that Jesus said back to their minds so they could remember what Jesus had said. The Holy Spirit does the same for me and other believers today.
We are commanded to know the Word of God so the Holy Spirit can bring it to our mind when we need it. The sword of the spirit is the Word of God.

Some liberal forms of Christianity are changing their stance on miracles, because they are caving in to the atheistic argument that everything in life has to be rational, or scientifically explainable, or else it cannot be believed. Some churches think that if they water down the stories in the Bible to get rid of all those embarrassing miracles, then some atheists will have an easier time accepting Christianity.

I don't see why we should cater to the atheists; they are not going to come to church anyway. Who cares of the Noah's ark story, or the resurrection story, or some other Bible story is embarrassing because it is unscientific? After all, isn't that part of the appeal of religion anyway -- the miraculous and the unexplainable?

Depends on how its interpreted. The more historical people will like the human Jesus and his death for mankind...whereas the more spiritual people would like to think of it as a step in Gods plan to save all of mankind, through Jesus. mark and mattew push the literal and historical line, and luke and john push the faith based part heavily.

No-one is hiding anything. Have a read of the gospels and tell me what you get from it. Just read it as a story, like i did :)

Religion teaches a lot of things, but what did the bible say in Acts 1 To whom also He showed Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forth days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God...And when He3 had spoken these things, while they looked, He was taken out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up...Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into heaven.

They went into the upper room and did not go fishing.

If religions can get people to doubt the bodily ascension of Jesus, they can use that doubt as a wedge to get people to doubt other teachings of Scripture. It is similar to the serpent tempting Eve in Genesis by casting doubt on the truthfulness of God.

I don't know what religion you are speaking of but the Bible clearly teaches that Jesus ascended. It did not say His spirit ascended, it said HE ascended.
Religion was made by man. Read your Bible and believe what it says, not what many men would have you believe it means.

Christianity says He ascended in the BODY.

Luke 24:36 -39
While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you."
They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost. He said to them, "Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds? Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have."

If there are branches of Christianity teaching otherwise, they are guilty of the false teachings that Christ warned us about.

The physical churches have been hiding the truth from you for years, but many know in their hearts that the God of Moses was cruel and the God of Jesus was love. But because you choose to follow the god of Moses, you deny the God of Jesus.

Yes, the scriptures say that the anti-christ was to come first and he did.

A Holy weight was lifted off their shoulders... fishing sounds like fun to me too! lol it's faith not fact that religions work with... interpretation is very important... just let the new fad run its course... faith is what is important not what these pseudo-theologists try to prove...

here is a stranger fact of religion in certain christian churches(originally believed but now removed) the belief is that when Christ originally died he descended into Hell, then on the third day he rose again and finally went to heaven.
