Have you been to a good doctor and had a thorough round of tests? Could it be that each of these little illnesses is a sign that something bigger is going on? Take a look at your life - are you under an inordinate amount of stress, are you eating well, are you taking vitamins? I'm just wondering if there are other things at play here that may be compromising your immune system. Above all, remember that without mountains, we would never learn how to climb.

I went through a phase like that a couple years ago. We had to put our precious 2 yo malamute down due to an illness. I was diagnosed w/ thyroid disease, my step dad died, I had an illness that consisted of boils that the doctor couldn't figure out and it turned out to be MRSA (drug resistant staph infection) which lasted 9 months. Severe depression from being so ill. During that time my sons moved out of the house and my grandmother (who raised me) died. I didn't think I could take any more. I was spent. I handed it over to God because I didn't have the answers. I just trusted that this was my "job" phase and that all would be well someday. It took a while, but I soon started feeling better due to some new doctors who knew how to treat me. However, I give God all the glory for helping me get through that trial. I learned a lot during that time and it definately brought me closer to God. You can and will get through this. Be strong and try to be open to seeking God during this time. Ask for His guidance and peace to sustain you. Can I pray for you? Stay strong and courageous and know that this is only for a short season. You will be back to your old self in no time. Take care and god bless you.

You know the saying, "When it rains, it pours"? You probably feel soaked to the bone right now.
One thing that helps me a little bit is remembering that there's usually something to be gained out of suffering, maybe a reason that I can learn from.
I have a chiropractor who is also a holistic health practicioner. I believe that good, regular alignments and massage helps a lot. Plus a good multivitamin--not one of the ones you get at Walmart, like Centrum, but a better quality one from a health food store.
I hope you feel better soon!

You need to determine whether this is a medical or spiritual issue. If you have consulted a doctor what did he say about your condition and treatment? You can also pray for the Lord to heal you for by HIs stripes you were healed (1 Peter 2:24). I release the healing power of Jesus to you. Amen.

I'm so sorry to hear about your afflictions. I know that it is tough to try and remain hopeful and cheerful when it seems like your own body has become a traitor to you and it keeps letting you down. It isn't for no reason that the evil one sought to bring down Job in the second round of the battle by asking God to take away his health.
All I can say is that you are not alone. Others of your brothers and sisters in Christ are going through similar afflictions throughout the world. It isn't like God has singled you out for some special trial and although it may sound trite, after it is all over and you can look back you will realize that what the Lord said to Paul has also applied to you.
2 Corinthians 12:7 And lest I exalt myself above measure by the excellence of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, an angel of Satan, that it might beat me, lest I exalt myself above measure. 8 Concerning this I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me.
9 And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my weaknesses, in order that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Please don't take this as preaching - but I have found help, strength, promises, comfort, encourgement, etc in the bible. Read about Jesus' miracles, the healings, the changed lives ,etc and pay attention to the many many promises for those who believe.Read the New Testament. Read the Psalms.
God will help!!
God bless

you may just be worn down. When your body is so tired out it's hard to fight off things. With summer here try to get some time outdoors in the fresh air and plenty of rest and light exercise. Swimming and horseback riding are two fun things I like to do to exercise in summer. Hope you feel better, I'll be praying for you!

Yes Veronica, I do understand. Abandoned, foster homes, death of my only child, I couldn't understand why. All I could ask was why. I don't believe the scripture that says "God will never put more on you than you can bear"Because I broke., but let me tell you this. There is a light in all of us.Tragedies such as illness and heartbreaking issues, will dim our light. You have reached out as I did. I found my light in a friend on Q/A who is an atheist. The answer is in another hand reaching out to you. Here, take my hand...susan m

I have recently been through a life threatening illness. I came close to death because of a surgeon's error, but knowing that the Lord was with me through it all gave me a feeling of peace and comfort. Memorize a few scriptures and use them when you are feeling defeated. Don't forget Jesus promised he would never leave you.
Trials and tribulations come with both a purpose and a reward. "Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." "Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those who love Him" (James 1:2-4,12).
"...I will never leave you, nor forsake you; therefore I can boldly say, 'The Lord is my helper; I will not fear what man can do to me" (Hebrews 13:5b,6). Trials develop godly character. "...we exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character, and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us...

Well the best advice I could give you is to (if your a Christian) keep your eyes on God. (If your not) turn your eyes to God like Job had done. He stayed strong until the very end and did not curse His name once. In my opinion you should model yourself after him and stay strong and whatever happens, happens.
Some of the best things I ever heard was from the movie Forrest Gump...remember that "Sh*t happens" and you have to put up with it no matter what happens. The way that you handle your problems makes up your character and integrity, so take everything that comes your way graciously and never complain. Keep your chin up and keep fighting no matter what!
