Well, there are numerous reasons that he could have an upset stomach. He may have eaten something that disagrees with him, perhaps a change in his diet, stress, or some bad case scenario's, he may have an obstruction, an ulcer, tumor, etc.
The first thing I tell our clients, if we've seen them within the past year and he is acting normal, is to hold food for about 24 hours. Small amounts of water is fine. Then begin him on a diet of rice and boiled hamburger, or boiled chicken. You want to boil it, to get all the fat out. Mix it about 1/2 and 1/2, and offer small amounts to your dog for about 2 days. At that point if you notice he's improved, slowly begin to mix in his regular dog food.
You didn't say if he was having diarrhea, or vomiting. Either one of these symptoms can benefit from the fasting and bland diet. However, if you have not noticed any improvement within a day or two, please call your regular vet, and have him seen. If there is something more serious going on, you don't want to wait.

First off I think I would take the dog to the Vet to see what is causing the problem!!
Don't let your dog have any food for 24 hours or until the stomach settles down!!!. If water seems to make your dog queasy then give it ice cubes to lick on.
Try and give your dog a bland diet.
Cook some white rice and boil a chicken breast and mix the two together. Your dog should like this. Don't give it to much at one time.
You can give Pepto-Bismol one teaspoon for every 20 pounds every 4-6 hours.
I would not wait to long before I took the dog to the Vet. You have to find out what is causing the dog to be sick?????? The dog could get dehydrated easily!!!!
Good Luck

If it is a minor upset stomach, it is due to changing food. Don't give people food, or chew toys that the dog can swallow (and Goldens swallow everything!).
Dogs have sensitive stomachs and ANY change in food with get them upset for about 3 -5 days.

Well you should be giving him bland food until it passes. Chicken and rice. When I have to do it, I use baby food cause I'm lazy. (per vet-if you are ambitious feel free to cook and mash your own). Try small quantities at a time.
Don't give him any medicine or herbs unless approved by your vet.

If it doesn't go away with a steady bland diet, look deeper. Mine had a pancreatic problem as well as food sensitivity. She now eats Science I/D, prescription from vet.

Some males take a longer time to get it. It does not matter. I preferably prefer males peeing like that because it's cleaner as they won't spray all over themselves & IF they do pee on the floor, it's easy to clean unlike those who pee when they lift their legs! Imagine if he does it on your walls?

Well, that would really depend on why the dog has an upset stomach...
has he eaten something when you weren't around/looking? has his food changed recently? is he eating and drinking normally? how do you know he has an upset tummy?
We really need more information....

Canned pumpkin - not sweetened pie filling, just plain canned pumpkin - will do the trick, as will Slippery Elm powder (one capsule sprinkled in to his food).
