Is anyone else excited about the road race in Aug.? I am a particular fan of road courses in NASCAR and I would like to see a few more on the schedule. What do you think about road courses?

I like them, they dont come close to Bristol or Dega, but I also welcome the change of pace and I have heard some drivers like the change also. The only real problem I have with them is that for both series it only really 2 or 3 competitive cars. But its fun watching drivers really muscle 3400lbs cars around the race track. As well as show their talents when it comes to shifting, braking with no electronic, I dont know how you couldnt enjoy the change.

I like road courses, I think they show the true driver talents better than just the standard cookie cutter track. What makes NASCAR racing so great is you need to be able to drive on a road course one week after say Martinsville and then to Talledega. Before Baby France screwed up the series and made the first 26 races less meaningful, you needed the TOTAL package to really win a championship. That's why the chase should include all the types of tracks they run on, not just a few.

road courses suck, there are for F1 and IRL and compact cars, Nascar is oval, but i will admit nascar started with moonshiners on the back roads, but as far as watching a road course race live you only get to see one part of it, and the TV coverage is not much better, its all replays

Not really too into them. I prefer the oval and making all those left handed turns. Super speedways for me.
