I am going out with some co-workers after work. Eventually I would like to find someone to date but guys around here don't take much interest in me. Majority of the time they just stare and don't say anything. It is just frustrating sometimes. I can make a first move but if I don't see any interest in the first place then it is hard for me to do.

Nightclubs and bars aren't exactly hotbeds for commitment. Sometimes it's easier to date in a group. Have one of your friends be your "wingman". Guys do it all the time because it seems like less rejection if she says no. Offer to buy the guy a drink...it's a fresh approach and if you don't like what he has to say, you can move on to the next one(hopefully not too many times in the same night...:)

Yes you may need to make the first move. If you see someone that you have interest in make sure that they feel the same. Its easy to tell things like gestures or smiles go a long way. If you catch them starring at you or over eager to help. Its likely they have feelings for you or are just really nice

Maybe your co-workers don't look for relationships inside the company. In other cases, some multinational companies even forbid (as a corporate culture) inside relationships. You may want to bring this issue up and have some talks (during their staring periods) whether they find it all right to date insiders. That may count as your first move you wonder to make.
Cheers!
