I would just like to know...What to do during my audition and also do you need to know how to pole dance or can it be taught once you start working? What is a normal house fee? Can I start work right away, can I make good money my first night? Anything I need to know ......

Two things can happen at the audition. You may dance on stage for a song or two, or the manager may hire you based on your appearance. Most managers will have you watch the other dancers before you get on stage, so you have an idea of what to do. Just copy. Dance slow and smile. Don't try pole tricks or anything you're not sure of. Everyone looks awkward and nervous their first time. There is a chance you will be dancing in front of customers.

The average strip club will not require you to know how to pole dance. I know girls who worked in strip clubs for years and still can't do a simple spin. Some clubs don't have poles. Almost all clubs allow dancers to come in and practice before the club opens.

In a small club, house fees usually run between $15 and $50. Upscale clubs, of course, have higher house fees because you will be making more money. You will also need to tip the bouncer, DJ, housemom, and makeup artist. Not all clubs have housefees.

Good luck!

I am just about sick of how people are answering these types of questions!
Number one: If you have been asked to come back for an audition/try out, that's a good thing. It means that managment see's potential in you.
Second: You usually are asked to do a one song set on the back or shot gun stage for managment to see how you look on stage, and sometimes are asked to do a table dance to see if you can do it, and are not dancing inappropriatly.
Third: The Clubs do not teach you how to dance, or how to Pole Dance. This is something you have to learn how to do your self. If hired, you could try asking one of your co-workers to give you pointers, just don't try to memick thier routine, or that person and you will have big problems.
Fourth:House fee's are different at every club. Not only will you have house fee's you will also, usually have tipout that goes to the D.J, House Mom, Security, and Valet on top of House/Management Fee.
Fifth: Depending on the state that you are in , is if you can start right away. In Atlanta, Georgia you have to get a permit, which is $350.00 per club, and nontransferable meaning it is only good for that one club. Not only that, you have to take a money order down to City of Atlanta for $50.00 for them to do a Full Background Criminal check, finger prints and all, then if you pass that , then you go back the next day with a money order for $300.00 and they issue you your permit.
Lastly: If you have never worked before as a dancer, I would start of on Day shift, and if you have a great D.J that announces that you are brand new and helps you out with the crowd you should do o.k on money .
Good Luck and don't pay attention to stupid jealous people who have no self esteem telling you that it is trashy to dance.
It was just on Ophra today. Ophra was doing the stripper walk and everyone was working the pole.

Because on the surface it appears to be an easy way to make a living - the income is good compared to an admin or retail job and all tips are tax free. Also, we live in an era where we are taught that sexual confidence is important and that it is somehow empowering that others would pay you money for simply taking your clothes off. The negative consequences are often overlooked - long hours, the longstanding rule of "look don't touch" being a myth, and the strippers being treated like objects by the same people who pay their wages.

I honestly don't suggest you doing this because I don't think your ready to be constantly degraded by men because that exactly what happens. Did you sit down and think about the "ifs" in this field of work. You obtain stalkers and men who wanna hurt you. Don't let the money cloud your head so much that you become dumbfounded to thing. I have been out of a job for 4months and its hell. I have bills and things that need to be done. But never once did I resort to thinking about stripping. But anyway if you feel that this is your only resort ...be safe and watch your *** leaving. Make the money, don't let it make you. Good luck

well if your pretty and have a nice body. Go to a strip club and tell them what you want and they will set you up and the other girls will help you. One of the other girls will prob ally let you use her head for a pole.
