For me spiritual intuition is not what most people think it is. For many, they feel it is a hunch or just something unknown tells them something is right or not. And I believe it does work just like that, but what intuition actually is is your connectedness to others on the subtle plane, but for most people that connectedness is unconscious so that the feeling isn't actually felt but translated into an idea or 'hunch'. Intuition is like a seed that becomes a full awareness of your own enegy body and those of other people. As an example, a man and woman might be talking and intuition may tell the man that the woman is attracted to him. If intuition has expanded into full awareness, then the man would directly feel the love coming from her heart center. It would be knowledge rather than a hunch. Or your intuition might tell you that a friend you are talking to has problems they feel are too overwhelming to share with you but your intuition tells you they are having a crisis so you ask them. If that were a sense then you would feel their pain directly, feel their fear or anxiety just as if it were one of your 5 senses.

For a long time, I was going on what I was raised on and was told to do. (I was raised a straight-laced Christian home) That would be to shun everything that the church, as a whole, didn't agree on. I never took the time to study, read, or pray about any subject that I had questions about, I just did what I was told to do, and that was my mistake. Last summer I was working as a camp counselor at a Christianity camp for children (not like the one from the movie "Jesus Camp") and I was on break. I was in the break room just trying to get a grasp on Christianity as a whole and more importantly, trying to find out what kind of person God wanted me to be, not the church. At the time, my head was bowed and I was attempting to pray and then, like a brick wall it hit me.
I realized that Christianity is defined differently for each Christian. For some, God is more like a father, for others God is more like a king, others even a friend, a shoulder to cry on...God is the definition of Christianity and He can change his "appearance" as you need Him to. He is always there for you no matter what you need in your life and since you have Him, you don't need the church telling you what to do and what to believe in, all you need is God. After this, a lot of my views changed. For example, one of the ones that changed was my view on homosexuality. I was always taught to shun them and stay away from them. Throughout my own study and time with God, I realized that it's not the right thing to do, you should love them like your own family, even though you don't accept their lifestyle, you can accept them as a person which is what I do from now on. Christianity is love and companionship and a lot of Christians fail to realize this and it saddens me. I also learned that you can't define God, it's impossible, so from now on, whenever I'm asked what God is , I say, "God is what God is" which is kind of a vague and mysterious answer but, along with "is" thats what I believe God is.
I'm not saying that this works for everybody, but this view works for me and you can feel free to disagree with me if you wish.
Just remember that all of this is because I believe in God and that Jesus is my Saviour, and thats the beauty of all it!
Well, thats just a little insight that I have on spirituality (and religion) overall and hope that you liked it : )

Yes, I have realized that a great deal of truth simply cannot be put into words. That's why we have both words and symbols in normal life, but in Answers only the words come through.
Meditate on the Eye of Horus, for example. How much of what you perceive can be captured in language?

Greetings,
Well personally for me, my Christian faith has allowed me to better understand the inner workings of people, their strengths, their failures and how they might react to situations in life. It has made me put certain aspects of modern life into perspective and it has also helped me to understand the history of humanity and how it still relates to today's realities.
I've used my knowledge, experiences, acquired judgements, to better understand why people do the things they do and how to make them realize or analyze their own perceptions of life and love to determine if it really is what they define as true, constant and unshakable in the logical and moral sense.
Good day,
JS
