I have a friend who is 23 hes a great guy. His name is Mark. There is a girl and shes 16 and wants to be with him. To her parents age is just a number (i.e. her sis is 15 dating a 25 yr old). If her parents are ok with it, is it acceptable to date this person being that shes 6-7yrs younger?

Even though her parents are OK with it now, she is still underage. Things could turn for the worst and your friend end up in jail. I would advise your friend that if he wants to see her, to make it group dates or go out somewhere public when they go on dates. This way nobody can get him for statuary rape. If he wants to be with her, then he should wait until she is of age.

I think the parents are nuts to let their under age daughters date fully grown men, who probably have experience and have had other women before!! I don't understand men who are 23 and 25 who look at practically girls and even think of dating them. Sorry if I sound too conservative to you, but it's wrong in my opinion!! And by the way, there are 10 years between 15 and 25!!

Iim 25 and im married to a 44 year old (almost 45 next month) so you tell me age is a number...but a 16 year old and a 23 year old? thats crazy. my parents were 9 years and 9 months apart and you can notice the age gap, maybe not now but later you will. tell your friend to keep his pants zipped and just stay "good friends" with her, but dont do anything stupid that will get his butt in jail.after shes 18 shes not considered "jail bait" anymore!!!

I am 19, my "boy" is 43, but I was 18 when we first met. There is a difference between 16 and 18, and that s the problem. I dont have a problem with the age gap. 16 year old girls are normally not mature enough.
