It wasn't ever something i was ever "converted" to - it wasn't as simple as that, and every day it's something I question. But I don't think I don't have a shred of evidence. I think I have some evidence that there must be something higher than me. You'll have heard all the arguments before for it - you know, the Bible, the pretty flowers...I can see how that's not enough, because...I don't know. Stereotypical arguments are only going to convince people who don't think for themselves. For me, it's all the little coincidences in life, that are more than sheer chance - there must be something more. And all the good things that being a Christian recently has led to in my life.
But that doesn't mean what I believe is right to everyone. It also doesn't believe I may never change it. I think I'll always believe in some sort of God, but the God i believe in may change - maybe Christianity's not the right way. All i know is for me, there has been evidence, or at least enough evidence, for me to feel i'm not just wasting my time.

Wether you realize it or not, or admit to it or not, you do many things in the course of a day where you take things on faith. We all do. Some people have a misplaced faith in the supposed infallibility of science and mankind's progress, and the idea that man is the apex of evolution.
Really take a look at everything an ask yourself how it all could have come to be. I've already been though all of the intellectual arguments in favor of atheism, etc., and have studied other religions, agnosticism, belief systems. I ended up coming back to being a Christian. The "evidence" is actually all around you.

There's plenty of evidence. All you have to do is take off the "science explains everything" glasses, because it doesn't. Science has yet to explain how diseases have disappeared, this world and all its complexities (remember, theories are not fact), people being changed 180 degrees in an instant from how they lived, how many different authors over thousands of years all agree with one another not having seen each others' work (the Bible), etc.
I accepted Christ when I was 17. In over 20 years, I've never seen anything that has proven my decision wrong.

I grew up going to a little country church and heard the Word of God daily at home as well.
Romans 10:17 Faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
I accepted Christ at 8 years of age and was baptized shortly afterward.
Ephesians 2:8 &9 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God;
not as a result of works, that no one may boast.

I was 20 yrs old, I am now 57, I don't have to prove that God does or does not exist, he has already made himself known to me, You say I don't have any evidence that God does exist, I have more evidence that he does then you do that he don't, I am a person that knows that God does exist, how do I know, Because he delt with me, & no one can take my experince away from me, Not even satan. God has proved himslf to me for over 37 yrs.

A person does not de-convert as you put it. If a Christian suddenly proclaims to be an Atheist , it is because they never truly believed. Likewise if an Atheist one day claims to be Christian, it is because they were never really an Atheist. Both simply found the excuse needed to embrace what they already believed.

The evidence is everywhere. There is no place you can look, that you will not find this evidence. It is found in your yard, on a mountain. in a fish pond, yes, even in hate. Everything that is--is God. For God is the creator of all things.

I grew up going to church. I was born again when I was 18 years old. I have evidence. I feel him and his comfort around me. I know he lives. This is where we get our faith! It is not blind faith! He is like my best friend! He is always there.Our faith is foolishness to you because you do not know God. You have not asked him to come into your heart.You eyes are closed and your heart is not open to understand his word.

I was 23 or 24. I was raised to believe, but didn't fully accept Christ on my own until this age. If you pray to Christ about indecision or problems in your life, a peace comes over you that you can not describe. This is one way that I know he is listening and that he cares about what happens in my life, because I have accepted HIM...Try it yourself...

I'd answer, but all the evidence I give wouldn't amount to even a shred in your mind.
You've made up your mind. Why take out your frustrations on the board? :)
Still don't understand that line of thinking...
