As Christians we follow Jesus Christ.
I'm sure you already knew that.
I would recommend studying the Bible alone and at church. Take time yourself to read the Bible. I would recommend starting in the New Testament because it is for the time we live in now. Since Jesus' resurrection. The Old Testament is good also but it has a lot of different things in it that we Christians don't follow since Jesus came and became the final sacrifice.
Pray and ask the Lord Jesus Christ to help you in the understanding of the Word of God.
I would also recommend staying out of this web site for a new beginner. You can see a lot of things that can be very confusing because of the devils trying to lead people astray.
If you have any questions feel free to email me or check my contacts and email them tell them I sent you. I have quite a few that I have confidence in.

Christianity is misquoted a lot and seen from a different light then what it truly is. Christians are suppose to teach the world about God, they are Gods light to the world, but many forget what God has taught in doing so. the greatest commandment is to Love God also one for the greatest commandments is love thy neighbor as thyself. Many criticize Christianity for what other people who proclaim to be Christians do. many do not look at the bible and see that hey what this "Christian" is doing is against the bible, instead people will say well ALL Christians do this or that and I don't want to be apart of anything that does that.
In conclusion, be a leader, a light for God in this world, people will hate and criticizes you (its what the bible tells us) and many people will try to prove you wrong in whatever you say, but just remember that there is a reward at the end and i believe the bible says it best when it says the road is long and narrow =)
You can read all the websites and books in the world, but the only one that counts in Gods eyes is that you read the Bible.
God Bless

For me the most important thing is getting to know God.
Christianity is not, as most people seem to think, in the first place about doing good deeds. It includes it, but it's something that God works in you when you get to know him better and draw closer to him.
Trying to do good things in your own power can become empty, will make you moralistic and judgmental, and you'll fail again and again.
If you are in a relationship with the living God, your life, your whole being will change, your outlook will be different, and you will love God and other people. This is at the root of living a meaningful life. Simply seek God in prayer and meditative scripture reading and you will grow as a Christian.
Welcome in the family!

For God so loved the world, that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have eternal life. This is a verse from the Bible - John 3:16. I can't give you the answers because nobody knows them all. I suggest reading the Bible. It has all the answers we can get before we die. Also try to find a local church and get involved. You can make friends and learn about God at the same time. And try to live by God 24/7. I know it's hard because we're all sinners, and no one can change that. Good luck, and welcome!

Hallelujah! Congratulations and welcome, my sister in Christ! I totally understand your new spiritual eyes are now able to see the Word of God through the Holy Spirit. I sense you are hungry and thirsting for the things of God. Beautiful, absolutely wonderful to hear that testimony from you.
Like any newborn child of God, to nourish your hungry soul, you may want to request regular, frequent bible studies from the church where you were saved lead by the pastor or another annointed saint. This will aid the rate at which you will grow in Christ. In your spare time, allow the Holy Spirit to guide you to scriptures (I just say a simple prayer like: Oh Almighty God, make me a clean heart and lift the world's filters off my eyes so that I may discern clearly and fully your Word). Keep a daily devotional of your progress if you wish.
What a magnificent, loving God we serve. May God richly bless you, in your walk with Him!

Greetings,
The way I would describe Christianity is that it is the light of God.
Picture if you will, a darkened road of life, you feel your way very slowly along the road, not knowing the obstacles/dangers that lie up ahead past your fingers. God's love for us brightens our vision of what is around us so that we may see potential obstacles that may hurt us. We will not be bruised and we will be more productive with sound judgement, after all, God created us, He knows our strengths and weaknesses (including others' as well)....the blueprint for true happiness and respect for ourselves and our fellow man in God's natural universe is through the words of God and His Son Jesus.
Those who don't wish to walk in the light often lead very painful and unfruitful lives, being "owned" by the world and its god of money. Often they don't pass proper parental values to their children. Which is why our Western society has so many problems.
Good day,
JS

I would like to recommend to you a Christian website called Answers in Genesis. Just google that and you will find it. A very good website for defending the faith, as much will come against you soon. Be strong and stand firm in God. God Bless you.

Christianity is a relationship with our creator. We try to live as Christ lived.
The best book to read is the Bible. As has been said, if you're not comfortable with the KJV, get a modern translation. The NIV is pretty good.

Jesus is the only way of salvation because He is the only One who can pay our sin penalty (Romans 6:23). No other religion teaches the depth or seriousness of sin and its consequences. No other religion offers the infinite payment of sin that only Jesus Christ could provide. No other “religious founder” was God become man (John 1:1,14) – the only way an infinite debt could be paid. Jesus had to be God so that He could pay our debt. Jesus had to be man so He could die. Salvation is available only through faith in Jesus Christ! “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

Find a local bible believing church and get involved in the bible study group. Also read and study the bible at home daily. Pray each morning to thank God for His many blessings and ask Him to lead you in the path He has prepared for you. Keep your eyes upon Jesus and you won't lose your way.
