I make some delicious donuts from my Grandmother's recipe.
I use the recipe for SUGAR COOKIES... then roll out the dough and cut it with a donut cutter... deep fry the dounts and roll them in granulated sugar.
My Grandmother made these by the thousands when she was running the USO and making the for the troops that came through town on the train during WW2

Too easy, get some vegatable oil really hot. Open a can of canned biscuits, tear a whole in the middle, deep fry it, remove from the grease and dab off the excess, sprinkle with powdered sugar to your liking.

there might be better ways, but my husband showed me how his mom showed him. u make them out of either a can of pre-made biscuits or you can just make up ur own biscuits....poke a hole in the middle and throw em in a deep fryer at about 350 degrees and let em cook until they are golden brown. u can buy a glaze to coat the top with or u can make ur own....pretty simple really.
