the PlayStation 3 you don't need to pay them for a subscription for the Internet like you have to with the 360 its got loads of storage and a blu-ray disk player into the bargain once you have done software updates it will play almost all of your ps2 games and you can download games straight onto your machine from the PlayStation on-line store for a few quid

Well, it depends on what you are interested in. Game Libraries, On line and / or movie playback. The 360 has a larger game library than PS3, Ive seen a few game developers offer games on the 360 that were previously PS exclusive. So you be the judge. If you are interested in playing people on line, the 360 offers xbox live, which cost 5 bucks a month but very well organized and reliable. The PS3 does offer the on line option also, it is free but I have heard many complaints about it since Sony does not run the servers themselves. They rely on the game developers to run their own. Finally Movie playback. The 360 offers only standard DVD playback with the option to purchase an HD DVD player for an additional 200 bucks. The PS3 Comes with the Blu - Ray player built in with an HDMI v1.3 connection available. Which allows for the latest ability to play 1080p picture quality and TrueHD sound quality. The 360 has the ability to use HDMI via the elite however it is HDMI v1.2. Which can also display a 1080p image but cannot play the TrueHD format (sound). However I own the 360 and HD DVD player and run it through component cables. I get a 1080i picture with dolby digital / dts and it looks and sounds fantastic. So some of the technical stuff may not apply if you dont have the television / receiver to support it.

Good luck!

Id just like to know how its better.

I have both and disagree with people saying the PS3 is better.

It has left compatability with, well everything.

There are no games out, none coming out in the near future, its expensive.

Theres nothing that machine can do the 360 cant, exept play Blu Ray but if you think thats a reason to spend the same amount as you would for 2 xbox 360s then go ahead.

All im saying is these people who think its better probably dont have a ps3 anyway and have never played a 360.

the 360 is more fun, intergrated system with better functionality and an online system worth playing.

360 is winning the war.

Will it is like saying which Motorcycle is bettter? The Harley or BMW? It depends on your taste. If you only care of games, then the Xbox 360 Elite is a better choice because, there are hundreds games out there & not only that, you can play Gears of War & coming soon of HALO 3. The 360 online it is wow really good & yes there is a fee but, it is really worth it. It also comes with Special HDMI cable & 120 GB.

If you like to watch movies allot then the PS3 it is the best choice because, of the Blu-Ray DVD. Both of the consoles have media too. IT IS BS WHEN PEOPLE SAY THAT THE PS3 HAS BETTER GRAPHICS THEN THE 360. I own a both PS3 & the Xbox 360 Elite & both of them they look the same.

If you care of all of the games, media & movies in all, then the Xbox 360 Elite is a good choice & it will cost you $480. You can even upgrade with a HD-DVD with your Xbox 360 Elite & it will cost you $199 & it comes with King Kong on HD-DVD,remote control & USB cables. What else do you want? Good luck.

*PS3 & Xbox 360 Elite owner & fan.

Xbox is more mature, the live idea is brilliant and the unit looks nicer (maybe not really relevant). I havent tried a PS3 but have seen them and to be honest they look the same, graphically, as the 360. At the end of the day the diff is the blue ray player in the PS3 and whether that is worth another £300

X Box 360 because there are more games for it. In the future when more games are available the PS3 might take over the 360, but by then the 480 will be out and it will play XBox and 360 games.

Thats quite a subjective question. I could easily say Xbox 360, because I've had one for about 18 months and love it, and I've never played a PS3... and the PS2 was a disappointment to me.

But, I'll save my opinion until I've played both, and probably still say Xbox 360 because the PS3 is not worth twice the price, however good it may be.

BUT the 360 is a way better device & gaming console.

The 360 has most of the PS3's games as well as its own exclusives, its cheaper too, the 360 is selling around 1760,00 per month while the PS3 is struggling to sell 82,000.
