When you move from a home in, or out with a computer, you get an ISP address. Is the ISP still the same as you move or does it change? Or if I'm incorrect with my explanation, could you please explain?

First off , if you move and you change Internet service provider (ISP) to access the net, your IP will definitely change.

Even with the same ISP your IP address might change.

If you are using dialups , your ip address is generally "dynamic", this means that everytime you dialup, your ISP provides you a different IP from its pool of ip addresses.

People on broadband tend to have more static ips that don't change often.

Your IP address is supplied to you by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Each company has its own range of IP addresses. So if you were to change to a different ISP, then you would get a different IP address. If you move to a different city or state, but keep the same ISP, you may or may not keep the same IP address. Depends on how that ISP allocates its addresses. But usually they divide them up geogrpahically, so if you were to move you would most likely get a different IP address.

However a change in your IP address should not effect how your computer runs. You will still get your e-mail and be able to use all the same websites from your new address. If fact, most ISPs change your IP address regularly as a way of keeping people from illegally hacking into your system. So you probably get a different address every week or two right now.

I believe you mean an IP address... if so yes most of the time.
If it is dialup...it can change every time you connect. Unless you are connected all the time via router it can change.

If you are worried about mail and whatnot if you keep the account with the same company usually they can keep the email addresses.
