Why do the religious of our time accept as infallible and god’s word the bible’s reports of your Bronze Age god's wrath, of rape and “pillage,” of genocide, slaughter of the innocent, human sacrifice, and stoning one’s kid to death because he talked back, etc., etc.? It doesn't sound "loving" to me. I really want to know, but I am compelled to add, from past observation, that I do not except from you an answer that make's one iota of sense.

While it looks like you want people to walk through your "mental door" (which by the look of things seems already cemented closed by your own self...) I will give you the benefit of the doubt....

What is not usually taken into account is the extremity of evil.
Evil must be removed- exactly as cancer must be removed.
Maybe future surgeons with better techniques will look back on our generation and consider it barbaric because we took knives and sliced people open like salami and hacked away at organs and sinews like a roast beef on Sunday. But God had to work with people where they were. As time went on and God was able to send His Son- the barbarism continued-as the most PEACEFUL LOVING PERSON the world had ever seen-- was executed in truest primitive inhumanity... evil's response to the goodness of God.

Is it REALLY that hard to imagine why evil must be dealt with so severely? Jesus took the penalty for you and for me so that we truly CAN live in love- if we will simply accept His gift.

No , they were not innocent. Ted Bundy, Jeffry Domber, Charles Manson, sick wackos that are out there committing crimes against society. In my view, deserve the death penalty for their actions. God knew their hearts and crimes and judged accordingly.

Many people ask, "Why does God allow such things in the world and not step in and defend His people?" When he does you get questions like yours.

Imagine a Nazi ( hardcore) activist and do you honestly think they raised their children to have any other beliefs than they ( parents ) had. Have you ever seen that the young kids in middle east or else ware holding automatic weapons. Old enough to hold one old enough to pull the trigger and they train these young children to hate and kill without remorse but spiritual greatness. God knew this then and judged accordingly and stepped in and saved His people from such filth.

I hope you see, God sees and knows all and his ways are just.

God's Word is infallible and 100% truth...

No ifs ands or buts.

So what's your question again?
