lemme describe myself. 20 years old, 5'9, overweight. I work out frequently, diet and bought a bike. I enjoy videogames, karate, music, movies and computers. I know I'm a geek (i know better than to talk about games/computers around girls) I'm in college and have never had a girlfriend. here's why... I am TERRIFIED of asking a girl out. it's not the rejection part so much (though that is some of it) but it's the fear of doing it! I have no problem talking to girls i know. if I don't know you I'm a little shy but it's not too bad. It took me about 3 days to get comfortable in all my classes so i'm not that anti-social. There's this girl I want to ask out, her name Is Ann. She's brunette with dark green eyes. I know she's not the most beautiful girl in the world, (she is pretty though) I want to ask her out when school starts this fall again. We're in a couple of clubs together so I can see her fairly frequently. How shoudl I do it? What do I say? Does "Wanna go out sometime?" work? Thx!

Just be casual with it. If you're having a good connection with someone or good conversation, yes "Wanna go out sometime?" works. Just start talking with someone you find attractive and go from there. If you find a common interest, that helps too.

If you get rejected, so be it. It happens to everyone at some point.

If he's 39, he's lying about not ever plugging a girl, or he's gay. But I don't think the age is an issue, I'm 48 and have dated girls from 18-20 for the last 15 years, once they get 21 they are too worn out for me, so i find a new gf.

Study the topic 'girls'. If you're a geek, read www.laddertheory.com. Doesn't hurt.

Drop the 'halfway to being a 40yo virgin' routine.
It's a funny line but it's not true. You might as well claim, just before graduating, that you're halfway to being a 40 year old without a diploma.
The first 20 years don't count - your time is just coming.

Start out with would you like to go for a cup of coffee. Very informal. While talking, work asking for adate into the conversation. As far as sex, believe me, it'll come so naturally you'll think you're a pro!

Why not. That sounds like a good way of doing it. Even if she rejects you, you'll have over come the hurdle, 'puttng the pussy on the pedostool' and can move on knowing that you've got the confidence to ask someone else out.

Start a conversation first with woman and start building friendships. Once you sense that someone has an interest in you, ask away.

"Wanna go out sometime?" is probably the greatest pick up line ever. If you get rejected, you can play it off since it's not "that serious"

Yep! Just bring it up casually, ask her to go for coffee one day or something like that
