It's funny how the gods always seem to work through the ignorant. I can't speak for Abraham or Moses, because those stories don't have much to even indicate those people really existed. However, Jesus never wrote anything, so if he existed, he was probably illiterate. Mohammed was illiterate and had to have someone write the stuff down for him. In more recent times, Joseph Smith had to dictate his stuff to whoever he could cajole into doing it. It seemed he knew how to read, but couldn't write so well.

If a god existed, you'd think he'd pick better representatives, or just represent himself, instead of using uneducated people to represent his views.

He became very wealthy and important though. Its a pity he didn't have the Bible, both the Jewish part and the New Testament, read to him. This is what an honest man would do, to verify that his revelation was of God. He would then have seen that his angel was contradicting God. The warning in Galatians about contradicting God's message of salvation might have humbled him; but I think status and power had him by that time.

Yes, he was. That’s why the first verse was: “read”
And that’s why it isn’t Mohamed (saw) who wrote the Noble Kuran, who’s got so much wonderful contents, but Allah who dictate it. Mohamed learned it, than transmitted it to his Friends (Sahaba), and after few years some moslem scientists wrote it.
Alhamdulillah
