I'm currently insured with the post office and they couldn't be more helpful. My car was tail-gated by another driver (no major damage) and they were absolutely wonderful. I had my money paid into my bank account in a fortnight.
If you value your sanity DO NOT INSURE WITH CHURCHILL. They are an absolute joke. My old car was insured with them and was written off by a drunk driver. It took 12 weeks for me to get my money and that was only after I got a solicitor involved (the other party admitted liability straight away). I even had court summons which they ignored because they failed to pay the fire service for the road clear up. That got sorted after 12 months and when I went to the Financial Services Ombudsman.

It very much depends what you look for in an insurance policy. Is it important for every driver on the policy to earn no claims discount, do you want a courtesy car, ect. Personally, I was looking for insurance on a mini one convertible a couple weeks ago and elephant and diamond were by far the cheapest. Other companies quoted me between £1,500 and £4,000, but they would insure me for £700. Thats quite a saving!

Depending upon what you need to insure then Fluck & Co. provide excellent quotes. Last year when I was seeking alternative quotes on my TT Roadster they were the best.
