Don't worry about your puppy going off the milk at this stage. He's old enough to be on solid foods now. Make sure you are giving him "puppy" food though, not "adult" dog food. Puppies need a much higher protein level than an adult dog due to bone and muscle growth. Keep him on puppy food for about 6-8 months, making sure he doesn't get over-weight. I would also add a little warm water to the food, let it soak in a bit before feeding it to him. Feeding 2-3 times a day is also recommended. He should be allowed to eat as much as he wants at this age, but as he approaches his "teens", around 6 months old, start cutting back & watching his weight.
As far as his biting goes, you'll need to stop that as quickly as possible. It's a very normal thing for a puppy to bite, but they have to learn early that it's not allowed. Every time he puts his mouth on you, yell "AT" or "At,At" or Ouch! (this has to be a loud, sharp noise) Turn away from him, stopping the play. He'll learn that biting hurts you and that you won't play with him if he bites. Don't smack his nose or grab it, this only makes them want to bite more. Also, play at his level, on the ground, so that he learns not to jump up to try to play. Again the sound "at" works really well to get their attention and send the message to stop doing what they're doing.
Good luck with you puppy!

he should be off moms milk by now and on just water. Dry pedigree puppy food is fine but should be a puppy food.
Yo need to train him when and how to bite that is no excuse not to give him teh attention the pup needs.
if he bites give him a firm no and give him what he is allowed to play with. Yo rathere have him taught to leave you alone and bite your children??
A puppy will be a puppy and will bite you have to train them.

I'm sure he is fine. He is old enough to be weened, he simply did it for you. He may also prefer the dry food because Labs are notorious chewers. They have a saying about Labs "they chew 'til they're 2 and shed 'til they're dead". They are also chow hounds. Food reward is one the best ways of training a Lab beacuse of this. I would feed him a dry food or dry food mixed with milk, whichever he prefers, but make sure it is formulated for a growing puppy. Monitor his weight and contact your vet if he experiences substantional weight loss. Other than that, no worries.

Two months old seems to be the age for him to be weened. Most pups are weened around six to eight weeks, as they are adoptable around eight to ten weeks. He's probably just weened himself, which means that he's now fully independant from his mother. Just make sure he's eating and mantaining a decent amount of energy, and make sure to take him to get his shots. A vet will be able to give you more information if you're still skeptical.

PS: NEVER feed a puppy milk that you would get from a grocery store. Ever! It can make them very sick! Puppies are lactose intollerant, which means that they will throw up and get diarrhea from drinking it! So, if he's not getting it from his mother, don't try to get it from somewhere else! You could hurt him!

there isn't any such component as an interior in ordinary words canines... A lab is bred to be outdoors. She is probabley whimpering because she ought to be outdoors, no longer basically to pass to lavatory. basically play such as her outdoors or take her on a lengthy walk the position she will run round loose. in case you dont have any places like that round you, then you might want to evaluate once you've made the right descision to get this canines.

He's 8 wks old, he doesn't need milk! He needs a quality kibble, and Pedigree certainly isn't it!

Put him on Canidae All Life Stages!
