I realize, in light of remarks which some atheists make here, that believers are convinced that all atheists "hate" the god which is so important to so many. This is not the case. Most atheists, in the UK, in Canada, and here in the USA, do not "hate" your Bronze Age god simply because, to them, there never has been a god to hate, that no gods existed in the long-gone past, that none exists as our society inches, kicking and screaming, toward global modernity and civilization.

Clearly, change frightens you. It was ever so. Not long ago, many were sure that the Wrights brothers were wacko, that if god meant man to "fly" he would have given us feathers. In a hop and a jump, or less, far less as universal "time" goes, we are now flying men to the Moon and probes to other planets in our solar system.

Religion, as it is practiced in the United States, with such fervor and fear and juvenile acceptance, is, believe me, on the way to the door. Change happens, and the wise embrace it.

You folks don't believe in God so....why would you hate Him?

Actually, I take that back......the bible says that you will either love the one or hate the other.

So whether or not you believe that, by not believing in the One true God....you actually are hating Him.

There is no middle ground here.....no gray area....you either believe in Him (love Him) or you don't (hate Him)

I do not think atheist hate God, because you cannot hate something you don't believe in. Thats like me hating my next door neighbor when i don't have one.

I'm a Christian (baptist) and i believe in God however, while the bible wants us to teach others the word of God I do have respect for other peoples beliefs. I do not feel I am superior for my beliefs, and in my heart I do hope they come around one day.

i do not take offense for someone not believing because the bible already lets me know there will be people who don't believe, people who will criticize and hate us as they (in they i don't mean a certain group) did Jesus.

I can accept changes that happen as long as it doesn't go against the bible (flying is not a sin) but you also have to understand that science has also been wrong many times too. At one time Scientist believed the earth stood still because it does not have muscles and bones like animals, and scientist also believed we could never ride a train because we would die from the speeds (which at that time it was 2(times) the speed of a stagecoach.

God Bless

The atheists are the ones who hate religion.....they hide behind the skirts of unelected judges while abusing freedom of speech rights. Case in point, the whole Muslim cartoon thingy several months back......the liberal atheists knew that drawing the prophet Mohamed would tick Muslims off yet they did it anyway just to prove that they can say whatever they want and shove their political correctness religion onto others. Meanwhile these same "artists" would never demean a Jew, a person of color or even a homosexual....because THAT would be "offensive".

These politically correctness freaks think that freedom of speech means freedom to insult. It's clear why they are all attacking religion, money is their god....because if you "pay taxes" then you are considered an "equal citizen"....and special laws get made just for you depending on the special interest/lobby group you belong to.

Liberals want to break down traditional moral values but they offer nothing to replace it....so anarchy and hypocrisy become king because money/lawyers/judges say so.

Good day.

I don't think that all atheist hate God. People who are atheist usually just don't believe he exists. However, I met an atheist who didn't believe in God, but then a little later in the conversation he admitted to being scared by religion. Most atheist, I believe, have simply had some kind of bump along their walk with God. As soon as they come across something that they don't like, they stop believing in God. I've never read in the Bible anywhere that states that your walk with God was supposed to be easy. God said that it would be possible with HIM involves. "And Jesus said to him, " 'If You can?' [Matt 17:20; John 11:40] All things are possible to him who believes."

Friend, I am an American also, You say christians are afraid of changes, Here is one that is not fraid, Because in God's word there is always something that has changed, Now does that leave you speechless, Not me, Because as I can see Prophecies being fulfill, it does not change God's word, but just add onto it, ask your self this, why is atheists on this site, there is only one reason, I know why they are here. They are control by satan to try to trick Christians, & if they get a very young christians, like someone that has only been a Christian for a short time, then they may be able to chnage a young Christian mind, But they are 37 yrs too late for me. Yes, I have been serving God for over 37 yrs. & I am not stupid when it comes to God's word.

A real atheist does not hate God or believers nor would he obstruct the free and public practice and propagation of religion. However,an antitheist cannot tolerate God's presence or believers or the free and public practice and propagation of religion.
Theism and religion seem to be spreading rather than shrinking world wide and most people do not find atheist arguments convincing or practical or mathematically probable.

In an atheist belief, God never existed..so how can you hate something that never existed...but if somebody hated God then he believes that God exist and I think he is not an atheist anymore when that happens...what do you think?

My answer is this: The only way you can be 'Atheist' is to 'Know' everything that ever has and ever will be; which also means that you must know everything about God. And I'm sorry, but the bible specifically states that no one man-those that have lived and now birthed-knows everything. Oh, and the bible also states that man will become even 'Smarter' during the last days.

i think of a few athiests and theists hate Christians consistent with their loss of tact in verbal substitute. in basic terms as any Christian believes of their ideals and thinks somebody else's ideals are incorrect they each each now and then "over rigidity" their opinion. This comes for the duration of as shoving their ideals down somebody else's throat. Athiests and thiests have the skill to do a similar factor. in basic terms as you're saying "a million/2 of my us of a is so deluded." It comes for the duration of as insulting rather of attempting to cajole or convince. I relatively have an extremely buddy who's a thiest and that i've got discovered to no longer even communicate something with spiritualism with him based on the undeniable fact that he can no longer see previous his very own perspectives to even evaluate relaxing mine, mutually as i'm able to understand why he does or does no longer have self belief in this or that he sits there and calls me ignorant or fanciful. i think what i think and you have self belief what you have self belief. It does no longer propose each Christian hates each Athiest or vice versa, yet there are extremes everywhere and for this reason they save the two facets far off from one yet another a great number of the time. Or a minimum of, it is my opinion.

I do not believe Atheists "hate God" as they do not know whom to hate. They are in an obvious state of denial of something that does not exist for them? Is this not a double negative? Would this not be a part of every ones ignorance as an atheist? Why deny something there isn't? Obviously it bothers you as you even ask this question. You see ,within us, is the wooing to God. He wishes to draw all unto himself. He made us. He calls !
Why not believe in God as he is. God awaits your coming to Him. He allows your freedom of thought as an atheist to permeate the level of your being as it is. I find God's presence in my life to be wholly creative and omnipresent in all I perceive as an intelligent being. God is and will decide your fate as it were.
