Violance against a man by a woman is just as bad as violance by a man to a woman. Attacking anyone is not acceptable she seems like a nightmare he should get rid

If your brother is OK with it let it go. You are a fiesty one, aren't you? Anyway the whole "hammer to the kneecaps" thing would put you in jail. If your brother does want to file charges, all that would be is a misdemeanor assault charge. Having a balckbelt doesn't mean crap anymore. (especially in tae kwon do)

Was your brother seriously injured, ie broken bones and / or serious bleeding ? If not, I would just laugh at her for not being able to hit worth a crap.

Wedget, you aren't considered a deadly weapon and have to register with the state police. Seeing as how a state cop lives a couple houses down from me and one of the PA state police states is a couple blocks away. And I make no secret that I take martial arts and have been seen in my backyard with various weapons. lol

Anyway, its assault in any case. But if it would go to a judge/jury, and they found out she was a black belt (this apparently is still a bit mystical to some people) then they would more than likely find her guilty.

This is assuming that your brother doesn't like to be hit ofcourse. Some people like that sort of thing. lol

Its not more illegal for martial artists to use their skills inappropriately per say than some one who just uses their fists and has no training. It can however carry with it a stiffer or more serious class and level of charges against that person because of their training. Assault is assault-with or without training.

I would talk to your brother and see what caused this action and if she acted inappropriately encourage him to seriously think about finding a new girlfriend. People with training who have anger management problems and lash out like this when it is not justified usually will do it again-especially if the person they lashed out continues to tolerate it.

Lmao, your a fighting fairy now too.
Sugar ,your too nice for your own good.
It is against the law to use an art such as this to harm another person it can only be used in self defense.
And don't go using a hammer honey i wouldn't want any harm to come to you or your pretty little face.

yes that is illegal to do that. when you are a black belt you are regestered as a legal weapon with the state police. i am a black belt my self so i would know. you are olny suppose to use it only for self defence and before you use it you are suppose to run. but ya you should have you brother turn her in. tell her instructer. hope this helps

That would be assault. Yes, that would be illegal. So would the hammer to the kneecaps.

However, she was not taught properly. TKD is a defensive art, so to use it agressively and not in self-defense goes against any respectable training system.

It's only illegal if it's made out of motorcycle chains. Three or more in a row. I think?

"brother's girlfriend" implies present tense. If he doesn't see anything wrong with this, then you shouldn't either. Maybe he likes it. There's nothing wrong with some desires others would consider odd.
