WE AS HUMANS *ARE* responsible for doing our part to stop the spread of AIDS most importantly to ourselves!!! In most states you have to get blood tests before mairrage, this ensures that you know your partner is clear. If everyone in the world only had 1 OPPOSITE sex relationship for the rest of thier lives can you even imagine? AIDS would have never been a problem. ( or not as big of one) But, we don't live in a perfect world and people have multiple sex partners, so until people can get the big picture that sex is made for husband and wife for a reason because although it is extremely pleasurable, you are actually giving a piece of yourself to someone. If people could just wait for thier marital partner they could see it would be well worth the wait, without having to worry about s.t.d.'s and AIDS.

Sex period plays a big role in the spread of infectious dieases. Always remember when you have sex with someone you are also having sex with the people they had sex with and so on. You can never be to safe. Always use condoms.
As far as premartial sex, its always best to wait until your married before you have sex, but just because your are married that doesnt exclude you from getting aids/hiv. Its always best that if you do decide to have sex whether your married or not that you and your partner both have hiv/aid screenings. It takes about 20 minutes and in most cases are free.
Also just o let you know people don't die from aids/hiv, they die from other reasons. Aids/hiv weakens your immune system which allows simple things like conjunctivitis (pink eye) or the common cold to kill you if untreated.

I'm sure it doesn't help the problem. If people waited for marraige and only had sex w/ 1 person their whole lives than that would greatly reduce the spread of disease... especially if both partners were checked for disease prior to engaging in sexual activity. However, most people are whores and only into self-gratification so that is neither here nor there.

considering that the majority of the world does have premarital sex I think it has a negligible effect on STD and/or HIV/AIDS
with the exception of third world countries the spread of AIDS is due to negligence and ignorance. not enough people get tested for HIV/AIDS so most of the carriers go undetected. although it is much harder to contract HIV through unprotected vaginal sex than is reported

I do not agree, I think people just need to educate and protect themselves. The fact is people cheat and not all people are honest. Say I wait to marry before I have sex but my husband cheat and gets infected with HIV now I am infected, I waited but I still have the virus. Goes back to educating and protecting our self. We need to be responsible for getting tested, educating our self about the virus and simply protecting our self, I think that is key.......

I think casual sex is more likely the culprit,if people have fewer partners the spread would be lesser, but to wait until marriage to have sex is really stupid and a great way to land yourself in a horrible relationship with someone you have nothing in common with.I recommend experimentation but play it safe and keep it to a minimum.

Use condoms. Every time
I'm not going to deny myself sex because of a bunch of right wing "Christians" using scare tactics to make me think the way they do
As long as you use a condom every time, the chances of you getting AIDS is extremely small.
Pick your partners well too. If you go hang out on the street corner get drunk and take on all the guys, you are going to be at a lot higher risk than someone who gets to know their partner and establishes a trusting base for a relationship.
Marriage has nothing to do with it, but if you want to deny yourself life's experiences and wait for Mr. Right that's great.

Off course due to the fact that some people have more than one sex partner.

I am sure in the beginning it didn't help that people were so promiscuous. But now it doesn't really matter - a lot of people who have HIV don't even know they have it.
