Not because of what he did,but because of how people trashed him.I know he's the bad boy of racing and likes it!But if everyone had the will to win that he does NASCAR would really be something. He races like Pete Rose played baseball and Larry Bird played basketball, with confidence and doesn.t kiss rears that's what some drivers need. This is my thoughts on the situation.Anybody agree?

My only regrets is I wish he would get a non-alchaholic sponsor. But I'm not for the sponsor I'm for the driver

Kurt is my favorite driver and I am constantly defending him, I'm so glad to see other Kurt fans, there are not many of us. The guy is a true champion, and he's doin pretty well when you match his equipment up with the competition. I was also glad to see him stand up to Tony, he's been taken out of a few races because of Tony, but noone seems to remember that. He may not be popular, but he's my favorite. Glad to hear you've grown fonder, now we can just sit back and wait for the championships, because I think he'll add a few more before he's done. Great to not have to defend him lol. GO KURT!!! We will overcome the penalty and still make the chase also.

Kurt said he would not have hit the crew member.
And regardless of what your "expert" opinion is, Tony has taken Kurt out of more than one race this year(3) and Kurt is not the only driver to fall victim to Tony's bad driving blame shifting ways. As far as Tony backing off in the next corner, that had been going on for 4 laps, so I'm not buying the next corner thing, give us a break.

I personally dont like Kurt, but being angry at him and not at NA$CAR for the fines is not right. I feel that NA$CAR should've set him out for a couple of races and if it would have been one of my drivers I would have felt the same. The only thing that made me mad about Kurt was that he kept saying that there was a difference in almost hitting Jason and not hitting Jason and he used that as an excuse for what he did. Being the "bad boy" and almost hitting a crew member are 2 different things. I agree that the sport needs more personalities, but using the car as a weapon isnt being a bad boy, it's being stupid. When Kevin Harvick got into the side of Ricky Rudd at Richmond (a few years back) no crew member was put in harms way, and I felt then that Kevin should have set out a race or 2 and I'm a Harvick fan.

All drivers need to leave their differances off the track and off of pit road, if they need to settle something, they need to do it like they use to do it back in the day, meet up behind a trailer or in between them, beat the crap out of each other, shake hands and go have a beer.

Some say this was all Tony's fault, Tony could have backed off the throttle some, but Tony also had a car a few inches off of his back bumper, if he would have let off, the would have gotten wrecked and it could have caused more of a pile up. Fact is, Kurts spotter should have been more alert and not cleared him. Kurt had the inside line and Tony would have more than likely backed off going in the next corner and Kurt could have completed his pass then.

I'm not bashing Kurt and I really tried to present this with an unbias view.

I'm a Jeff Burton fan, and I was considering having Kurt Busch as my 2nd favorite driver. I disapproved with what he did on pit road, but I don't disapprove of him getting tired of crash and bang with Tony Stewart and went to stand his ground with the man. I know he was mad and people don't always think straight when they are mad, but at least he wasn't going to take crap off Stewart. My opinion. I really felt bad when people kept talking bad about him and putting him down and making fun of his ears. It pissed me off kinda. And then I was waiting all week hoping and praying he wouldn't be suspended, the other penalties ok, but no suspension. It played out I got it the way I wanted it. I'm not gonna hate a man who has won a championship before and got mad and lost his temper. It's not like he's the only driver to ever throw a temper. Stewart throws weekly tempers sometimes. As for Kurt, he's an overall great driver. Maybe he will wake up and realize he needs to be more focused and get back on track. And also, I'm not going to hate the man because Kyle is his brother, just feel for him there.

Kurt had some problems that day, but honestly, who doesn't have that really off day where they're completely mad at the entire world, and the littlest thing could set them off. Am I right?

Although, taking it out on Tony's pit guy wasn't right. :P

And Tony technically didn't cause the crash. I have that part of the race taped because I had to go out for a while that day, and I've replayed it over and over. The crash was technically Kurts fault. This one crash. But past crashes, yes. Those were Tony's fault. I can say if it were me, and I had been taken out by one person so many times, and I somehow ended up crashing AGAIN while that near to that guy, I'd probably say somethings myself.

I may be a Tony Stewart fan, but honestly, I'm glad to see Kurt say something, even if it was at a slightly inappropriate time.

Actually, now that I think about it more, I think Kurt probably moved up on my list of top drivers.

I like Kurt Busch. He just got tangled up with the wrong guy. Tony Stewart will be the first one to antagonize someone on and off the track, and then when the other person does something he plays like he is all innocent. Stewart is the bigget punk in Nascar. He is the only driver I dislike and I hope he gets punched in the face real soon.

Im with you I have always liked Busch, primarily cause he used to race for Roush and he proved he is a hell of a driver. He has consistently tried to improve his image but always gets caught in certain circumstance. Also because of his unpopularity if he is caught in anything it just gets blown up compared to if any other driver did it. But he is at least honest and races his heart out...too bad he gets bashed for doing so.

The only thing I can say that I disapprove of was the whole DUI incident and the way he left Roush.

correct me if i'm wrong, but i don't believe that rose or byrd ever put anyone's life in danger. busch could have killed tony's crew member in the pits and you are defending him? comparing him to some of the greatest figures in sports history? next time you are taking a piss on the side of the road and someone speeds down the emergency lane to make a pass and almost runs YOU over, let me know if you become friends after you cheer him on!!!!

So you are in love with Kurt. Thats fine. everyone has someone who loves them. AND, yes, Kurt does race hard, even when he don't have to.. He and R Gordon should team up and start thier own team. It could be called, Carsh Em Up Motor Sports. Neither one would give the leader any room to pass even though they may be down by 35 laps. No Class and all mouth.

I thought it was brother Kyle, not Kurt let go ftom Hendricks and you bet he got a big severance package. Oh well, keep on racing, my friend as it's the speed, not the personal agenda which keeps us on track.
