So I have been diagnosed with genital warts and have been using Aldara cream for the past 4 weeks. After about 2-3 weeks it started getting swollen and tingly, but I know this is normal. However now even though I have still been using the cream, it isn't really irritated anymore but the warts haven't gone away at all and they have spread instead! It seems like its just getting worse instead of better! Is this normal? Should I just wait a few more weeks or what? I'm getting nervous.

I took me 5 weeks using Aldara for my warts to completely go away. And, mine also seemed like they were getting worse before they got better.

I would suggest giving the medication a few more weeks. If they seem to still be getting worse or you are in a lot of discomfort then contact your doctor. Aldara doesn't work for everyone. You might be one of those people it doesn't work well on. If you are, you may need to have a doctor apply a stronger medication at the office (done in several visits) or you may need to have them removed by freezing or burning.

Good luck!

Moles, warts, and epidermis labels are typical epidermis wounds that grow naturally. Even though they are generally non malignant, they could be awkward if situated on a visible part like the face. Skin wounds like moles and warts cause self esteem problems to the sufferers. An individual with moles normally becomes a loner because they do not wish to be noticed in public. They feel embarrassed to be out in public places, therefore depression may obviously follow but now you can change all of this with this particular information from here https://tr.im/L0mh6 , Moles, Warts and Skin Tags Removal eBook.
The writer of the eBook, Charles Davidson, is a practitioner in option medicine.  He's also a professional in natual skin care, applying normal solutions to cure several types of epidermis conditions.
Moles, Warts and Skin Tags Removal program is just a 100% natural process, established to remove epidermis deformities such as for example skin tags, moles, and warts, regardless of how big or small they are.  It's also safe to use on children.

First off are you sure they are warts? Warts will not get worse with illness but they will get worse with time. Are the sores open or closed? If they are open you make have contracted herpes, herpes flare ups do tend to get worse if you are ill. Warts will be flesh coloured, not open or weeping and as they grow they will resemble cauliflower. Either way get checked and treated and make sure you are using condoms 100% of the time until you are in a stable, monogamous relationship and BOTH of you have been tested and talked about your results.

Do any of the warts itch or hurt? There are over 100 types of the HPV virus. The high-risk ones can lead to dysplasia which can lead to cancer if not treated. I've had HPV for 28 yrs. I had vulvar cancer caused by HPV 7 years ago. Please go get checked out by a Dr. again!

You should definitely seek professional help for this. You have already been diagnosed and know what the problem is, but if your current therapy isn't working, only a doctor can provide you with an alternative. Since you are worried, you should seek help ASAP.

you need to go to see a doctor. Seems the cream does not work for you

The most common side effects with Aldara Cream are skin reactions at the treatment site including:
- redness,
- swelling,
- a sore, blister, or ulcer,
- skin that becomes hard or thickened,
- skin peeling,
- scabbing and crusting,
- itching,
- burning,
- changes in skin color that do not always go away.

You really need to give the doc a call. You may need a medication change. Are you still having sex with an infected person?
