what foods would you take with you for a picnic at the lake?

The best foods are ones that you can eat in the wind or with out needing a lot of utensils.
Some suggestions for picnic food

Sandwiches
Pork and Beans
Pasta salad
Fried Chicken

Any foods that do not require refrigeration is best.

Sandwiches, chip and dip, hotdogs, burgers, fruits, veggie platter, granolas, shrimp and sauce, grilled chicken, hamburgers, Patties, Cookies, Doughnuts, Salad, Egg noodle etc. etc.

Cous cous salad, falafel, humous and veggies/pitta for dipping, quiche, a cake, and some nice adult soft drinks (or a bottle of wine if you dont have to drive).

Make sub sandwiches on french bread, chips, pickles, fresh fruit, homemade cookies, don't forget your favorite drink!

Oh yeah... blanket & a game like backgammon

Big fat Italian deli sandwiches, like muffalettas

i'll bring sandwhiches!!! much better if you bring your rice cooker and your food. ntohing's rwrong with that

then bring lots of chips and snacks like junkfood!!! and some nuts!
