It has been two or three weeks since I've been with the guy. I don't have any symptoms other than a rash on my thigh that doesn't look anything like the pictures I could find on the internet. There has been no itching or burning in my genitals but I just checked them now and there seems to be little bumps but they have no feeling and no itch or burn either....I am going to get it checked but I would like to see what you guys have to say to maybe shed some light on the situation

Did the guy have genital herpes or not? You never really said.
If he doesn't have genital herpes then you can not get the virus from him.
If he does have genital herpes then there is definitely a possibility that you contracted it from him. Even if a condom was used, condoms are not 100% effective in preventing STDs, especially ones like herpes that can be spread by DIRECT skin to skin contact. The condom only covers the penis, not the entire genital area. So, if he does have genital herpes, then just the rubbing back and forth of the genital skin during sex is enough to spread the virus. Also, genital herpes can be spread when the person is on an outbreak or not.
The only for sure way to know if you have the virus or not is to get tested. Good luck!

I got clinically diagnosed with herpes virus (type 2) about four years ago, when I was still attending college and had a mindless one-night stand.
