How fragile are regular solar panels? I'm wondering how well they withstand extreme weather, such as high winds and sandstorms.

the cell itself i very fragile there like a real thin piece of glass but the cover them with tempered glass and really hard to break . They will even withstand a hail storm

If properly installed they will with stand windstorms however they can become etched by both sand storms and acid rain.
