Financially you need to start getting in the ton range to make any sense financially.
From an environmental standpoint every little bit you recycle helps.

Yes it is worth it to recycle it. Even if you are not getting any money for recycling it you don't have to pay to throw it away hence you are saving money! Besides the point of money paper is an easy thing to recycle and it can make a big difference in the amount of trash your household produces.

I recycle as much as I can weather I get $ for it or not. I just recycled last weekend, and due to the over crowding we only got $ for the cans and plastic bottles.
We use newspaper and cardboard to mulch new areas of the garden and in the compost bin (not ALL of it in the compost!) I toss paper towel and TP rolls in the compost, also non-greasy paper towels and napkins.
We also have an ancient trash compactor and between composting (free fertilizer), mulching (get rid of the weeds),2 chickens (gets rid of food scraps) and the poop goes into the composter for even MORE free fertilizer, We only have to go to the dump 3-4 times a year! We don't have to pay those crazy trash PU chargers!

Paper used to have some decent value when recycling if it was all white office paper, colored and newsprint has never been of much worth. Now with so many people recycling, I don't think paper is worth it expect knowing that you are saving water, energy, and landfill space.

We dont get paid anything for recycling in the Midlands, but i make sure we recycle what we can, our neighbours sometimes have 5-6 dustbin bags per week theyre a family of 5 and were a family of 4 and we've got ours down to less than one bag, so i feel "we're doing our bit"
If everyone "done their bit" it would all help

No, and not just money-wise. If you can, just don't use paper. Find an alternative. When paper gets recycled the pulp fibers become shorter so it abrades easier. Then you breath in the fibers and the toxins contained with in them (such as bleach and some heavy metals used in inks). Trees are much too valuable to us to cut down just to write on them.

Would u want to recycle for money or to save the planet?
Cos if it is to make money i can't help.
But if u want to help save the planet then recycle anything and everything u can. Most things are renewable.

Even small impacts are positive. If you cant recycle it yourself, check around. Schools, boy scouts, and churches might have paper or can drives. My city does paper automaticly so we dont worry about paper, but we give our cans to our neighbor

Absolutly. Everything you recycle goes to be remade and it is so much better for the envirment (sp?). Recycle whenever you get the chance.

recycling one pound of paper is equivalent to saving enough energy...to power your TV for three hours.
