Okay, so I need some dieting help. I just turned 14 years old, 5 foot 6 inches, and I weigh about 120 pounds. I swear that I've gained some weight though, because I broke my ankle and I'm just lounging around all day. My mom says that I'm gaining a lot of weight and I think I am, too. Any suggestions on how I could keep my original weight possibly?

Also, my sister is 11 years old (almost 12, in September), 5 foot 4 inches, and weighs 155 pounds. Any suggestions for her, because I think she needs some help?

Thanks for helping!

We both play tennis usually 2-3 times a week, for about an hour to an hour and a half each time. Right now I can't play, though.

You guys can start by eating healthy like cutting back on snacks and sodas. Having smaller portions and not eating too late at night will also help.

Get some fun exercises outdoors like badminton or biking!

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
