I have read more than once that she was a staunch vegan for ethical reasons but find it odd if it is true because she promoted meals in her range that included egg and milk

Neither, she was a "hypocrite."

Edit-Wow, a bunch of people sticking up for an heiress (though not the Kodak fortune), married to the richest man in England, started a business that was successful b/c of her name, and didn't even have the decency to donate the proceeds like Paul Newman. You people are sheep.

Vegetarian. Her cook book included recipes that called for eggs and milk.

I'm not to sure i think it was vegetarian Linda McCartney was a lovely person and she liked carrots yaaay lol
